It took Piper another day before she decided to get up out of bed and dressed in the clothes that Amatis provided her with from her old shadowhunter clothing as which suited Piper more than anything she would have found back at Valentine's cottage filled with creepy Jocelyn clothing. Despite Jace's persistence and encouragement that she stay in bed a little longest to allow her body rest from the Lake Lyn poison especially since they couldn't use a healing rune on her as he worried that she was still a little weak from being poisoned as the memory of finding out passed out on the floor was still fresh in his head as was the fear that he had felt when it had happened. However he knew better than to think that anything he could say would change Piper's mind once she made it up as he watched as she began to prepare thing for them leaving sigh the backpack she had been given by Amatis.

" are you sure you want to leave today? We could go first thing tomorrow" Jace said worrying about her as he knew that he'd rather she was fully healed before heading out on a long journey
" I'm sure and anyway we don't have any time to waste. We need to go cottage and then we need to meet up with the others as soon as possible" Piper said sounding a little frantic as she packed
" Piper, stop and talk to me. I know you, okay? Which means I know when something is bothering you so tell me what's going on in your head right now?" Jace said forcing her to stop and talk to him
" Valentine sent his foresakens to stop me and you from entering the portal then he got whatever warlock he has under wing to put the institute under a barrier spell then sent another attack" Piper said thinking about everything that happened out loud
" uh huh?" Jace said wondering where she was going with this since clearly she already had an idea of what Valentine was thinking when going with this plan of action as he wondered the connection
" I think he wanted force me to join him by acting out my worse fear now that he knows it" Piper said thinking about how all of the circumstances and setting had matched up to what she saw in her fear dream
" you mean killing me?" Jace said sounding very calm as he already know ghat whatever dream she saw from the fear dream must have been about something terrible happening to him from her behaviour
" yeah, everything about it was the same except that we escaped before it could happen" Piper said now being more determined to find out more about what Valentine wanted from her and her friends
" but why? Why does Valentine want you on his side so much?" Jace said wondering what the reason was since it clearly wasn't out of any fatherly concern from him since he wasn't interested in being her dad
" I don't know and to be honest I don't really want to know the inside of a mind like Valentine's" Piper said knowing he was the more evil and manipulative man that she and ever encountered before
