You're on a break and another guy makes a move (Grayson Dolan and AJ Mitchell)

Y/N's POV

You and Gray were fighting every other day, about the most trivial things. Eventually Ethan told both of you that it would be a good  idea to take a break from each other for a while. You knew it was a temporary break up and so did he but you got a little lonely.

To start this from the beginning you decided while on your break from Gray you would go to New Jersey with your girlfriends Keara and Naomi.

You guys were out on the town and had gotten a few drinks when Naomi decided to go to a hotel rumoured to have a high profile musician staying in it. You all knew this was a terrible idea but with a lack of better judgment and too many tequila shots you go to this hotel with the intention of finding this person.

Upon arrival you realised what a terrible idea it was but you also realised that this was a hotel you and the twins had stayed in, at some point last year. "I know this hotel, YouTubers stay here when there's an event in Jersey." You stated

"Well that explains why a famous person is here. What would they be here for?" Keara asks

"You're asking the wrong person." You replied. After you said that you heard a familiar voice call you. You didn't need to turn around because Naomi yelled his name immediately after seeing him

"AJ Mitchell! Alex Lange!"

"Dude relax, you're gonna get us kicked out." You said trying to calm her down. "Hey guys sorry about my friends, they read online that a musician was staying here. I didn't know they were you." You said after hugging them. You met AJ and Alex at the RDMA's earlier this year and you have kept in contact with them ever since. AJ had always had a little crush on you but never made it obvious because of your relationship with Grayson. "These 2 are Naomi and Keara my friends."

"It's okay. Nice to meet you guys. Do you all wanna hang out? I just came down to get Alex." AJ asked

"You better say yes Y/N." Keara mumbled to you

"Yeah sure, we can hang out." You replied. They lead you up to AJ's room where you guys spent the rest of the night talking. Somewhere in the midst of it all you let slip that you and Grayson are on a break.

"Wait what? What happened?" Alex asked really concerned. "Bailee didn't tell me any of this."

"That's because we haven't told anyone. We just need some space, it's not permanent." You replied.

"So you're still kind of dating?" AJ asked

"I really don't know how this break stuff works so... I actually don't know." You shrugged. AJ looked a little sad about that however after a change in topic the room became less heavy. After another hour of talking the boys called a Lyft and walked you and your friends out of the hotel.

"You didn't tell us AJ has a thing for you." Said Keara

"I wasn't really sure he did until tonight." You said

AJ : Hey Y/N sorry if I made things weird tonight. Do you wanna talk tomorrow?

You: Sure where do you want to meet?

AJ: There's a café near the hotel. I'll send the address. 11:30?

You: Yeah 11:30 is cool see ya then. Goodnight AJ
