Letter 06

Dear Hide

It hurts. The pain of not having you here with me. It hurts so much...

In fact,

I felt like I have having a heart attack as soon as I walked in the door. Everything hurt, especially my heart. I grabbed it as I fell onto the floor...

I wanted to scream and cry in those moments, but my sister was there..I couldn't scream. I couldn't scream out into the world for you..

I don't know how much you know I need you.

Please...

Come back to me,

Chapter 06- His Name Is Adrien

Carla told me I fell asleep right there, a five minute nap after my hour long sob.

I couldn't even remember it, it felt like it was just a dream.

"I'm sorry.."

Carla looked at me from her chair and giggled, "For what? I honestly thought you walked in and died.." I smiled,

"I really needed that.."

She put down her crayons and smiled big. "I'm always here to help my big brother!"

Carla may be six years old, but she's quite intelligent for her age. She understands death, she understands how awful I feel. How much I actually want to die to be with Hide.

She completely understands that this is hard for me.

My father unlocked the door and walked in. He huffed as he walked in, throwing his suit case onto the couch and slumping down beside it.

"Oh East, you're home.."

I gave my father a smile, "Busy day?" He looked over to me and nodded, his eyes shutting as he nodded.

"I gotta take Carla to the park!"

He leaned up as he yelled that to himself, before slumping back down onto the couch. I chuckled, as I walked over to him and sat down beside him.

"I can easily take her to the park so you can rest,"

My father nodded, his eyes still shut. "That would be great, East...The office needs me back in by 9 tonight,"

I gave my father a smile, as I looked over to Carla who was all ready to go to the park. "I'm seeing my friend May!"

She took my hand as we walked out to my car and jumped into the backseat. Bucking up her seatbelt, I got into the front seat and turned on the radio.

We jammed to pop songs line Havana, Fool, and Lowlife. She knew all the words, singing them as loud as she could with me.

The park was full of kids running around, screaming and laughing with each other. Carla climbed out of the car and ran to hug May, one of the new girls that Carla became friends with. She was a small little girl with reddish-blondish hair. She gave me a little wave, before running off with Carla to play.

I took a seat at one of the tables in the shade.

I watched all the kids run and play, laughing at some of the dumbest things. One kid fell off the swings, but got up with a smile on his face and laughing as he stood back up.

I wish I could do that.

But instead of falling off a swing, I've fell off my normal life... I wish I could just get back up and smile, like it's no big deal..
