Lauren's POV
I wake up in my bed not knowing how I got here in the first place. I try to sit up and my ribs hurt really bad. My head is also a bit sore. I look around and see that Collin has fallen asleep in my chair.
I want to give him a blanket but my ribs hurt so much when I move that I can't easily get out of bed. I whimper a bit in pain while trying to lay back down again. Collin's eyes shoot open.
''How are you feeling?'' He asks, he climbs out the chair and sits next to me on the bed.
''My head and ribs hurt. But Coll I don't really remember what happened. Did I make dad angry again?'' I look up at him.
'' I don't know exactly. I woke up from something banging on the wall. When I went to dads room he came out and you were lying on the floor.'' He says.
''What time is it?'' Releasing I probably have slept for a while.
''It's eleven.'' He says looking at his phone.
''WHAT! I need to make dad something to eat.'' I try to sit up but the pain has subsided at all.
''Don't move, Lauren. I already did that'' He says to me.
''Thank you.'' I say and he smiles and squeezes my hand a little.
''Now I suggest you take some more rest or take a shower and then rest. Keep your door locked and only let one of us in, alright?'' He says worried. I nod my head.
''Thank you Coll.'' I smile at him and goes out of my room. Probably to go check on Jeffrey and dad.
I do as Collin told me. I slowly get out of bed and lock my door. Breathing hurts so I only take small breaths.
I walk in my bathroom and turn the shower on. I look in the mirror and see a bruise appear right under my eye. There's some blood in my nose. I take my shirt of and my chest is already blue and purple. There almost isn't a spot not blue and purple. I feel a bit down, looking at myself in the mirror. Seeing every scar on my body.
I shake the thoughts off and strip further to get under the warm water. My body feels more relaxed under the warm water. My aching muscles don't feel as tide up.
After fifteen minutes I turn the shower off and take a towel. I dry myself of and go stand for the mirror again. I feel blood coming out of my nose again. It just streams out of my nose and it comes in the sink, on me and on the floor.
I'm trying to make it stop by pinching my nose and holding a towel against it. But the white towel slowly turns red. It won't stop bleeding. Trying to get my clothes on without getting blood on them is quit an impossible task. But I don't want to be naked when I call my brothers up.
"JEFF!''
''COLL!'' No reaction. So I try again.
''JEFFREY!''
''COLLIN!''
I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. Followed by knock on the door. "What's wrong?'' I hear Jeffrey say.
''My nose is bleeding for ten minutes or so and it won't stop and I'm beginning to feel a little faint.'' I answer
''Can you unlock the door, so we can come in?'' Collin asks.
''If I do there will be blood everywhere'.'' I reply.
'' We'll clean that up later, can you please open the door so we can help you.''
''Fine.'' I walk to the door with the towel tightly pressed against my nose. I walk straight back to the sink while I hear the door opening behind me.
Jeffrey's POV
''Hey do you hear that?'' I ask Collin. We're watching some football on TV
"What do you mean?'' He asks focused on the screen.
''I believe Lauren is calling for us.'' Collin stands up and walks upstairs to Lauren's room. Her room is up the second set of stairs, in the attic. I go after him.
I knock on the door and ask what's wrong. ''My nose is bleeding for ten minutes or so and it won't stop and I'm beginning to feel a little faint.'' she says.
I look at Collin and he looks worried. He asks if she can unlock her door. She eventually does. Collin goes in first and follows Lauren to her bathroom. I see a lot of blood everywhere.
Collin removes the towel from her face to take a look. But he quickly places a new one back. I can see her gripping on the sink.
''Hey, Lauren focus on me.'' I say and she just nods. Collin is standing behind her now so if she falls he'll catch her.
''I think I'm going to faint'' Lauren says quietly. The towel she is holding falls in the sink. She starts falling backwards into Collin's body. He easily catches her. He lowers her down to the floor and lays her down on her side, so she won't choke on her own blood.
"Should we call an ambulance?'' I ask Collin. Who shakes his head.
''No we'll take her to the hospital.'' He lift her up from the ground. ''We'll go through the door in the back so dad won't see us. Go get the keys, I'll take Lauren.'' I quickly run down, with as little noise as possible and grab the keys from the hanger.
Collin's POV
With Lauren in my arms, I make my way down the stairs. I meet Jeffrey in the hallway and see the keys in his hand. He opens the door to the garage for us. Everything doing silently so Charles won't notice anything.
One thing is for sure, he doesn't like his children going to the hospital. It only makes people question things. What leads to him having to deal with it.
Jeffrey opens the back door of the car and I get in and lay Lauren down, with her face in my lap. The bleeding has stopped luckily. But I still brought a towel. Jeffrey jumps in the driver seat and drives out the garage.
