I feel light shine on my face. For a moment I love it until I think of what has happened. I open my eyes and see that I'm in a hospital, again. I look around and see Caleb sleeping on a chair and my 'dad' sitting on the other chair.
''Honey you're awake! I was so worried about you. Are you okay? Are you in pain?'' My so called dad asks me. This seems like he worried but I know he doesn't care. He wouldn't mind me dead. I look at him in confusing because I know he put me in the hospital, again.
He sees my confused face and his eyes burn in mine. I now this expression, I need to play along and act like he's the perfect father who loves his childeren.
Ethan walks in the room with three cups of coffee.
''Hey you're awake, how do you feel?'' Ethan asks me while giving my dad a cup coffee and he sets a cup next to sleeping Caleb.
''I feel fine.'' I say to him. Physically I feel fine. Ofcourse I feel the pain but it's better than yesterday. mentally I'm not okay but he doesn't need to know that.
I see Caleb waking up, probably from the smell of coffee. He told me he Always wakes up from the smell of coffee. He walks to the bed and looks worried.
''I'm fine Caleb. Don't worry.'' I say but his face doesn't change. I still see the worry in his eyes. Do they know what happened? I hope not. Well ofcourse my dad knows. Maybe Ethan knows because he's a cop. He probably has seen this before.
''When can we go home?''I ask.
''You can go home today at two but only after they checked some things.'' Ethan says.
''Dad? Is it okay that I go with Ethan and Caleb? I just want to spend some time with Caleb. If that is okay with you guys?'' I ask Ethan and Caleb. They nod and dad nods to.
''Only if you rest.'' Dad says to me. I nod and smile at Caleb. He's already smiling at me.
After the doctors made sure that I'm okay. I went with Ethan and Caleb. While we were walking to the house Caleb took my hand and slid his fingers between mine. I smile at him. He smiles back and gives me a kiss on my head.
Ethan opens the door and lets us in.
''Lauren I don't want to be rude but I think you should get some rest, just for a little while.'' Ethan says to me. I nod and walk upstairs. Caleb follows me. I takes my hand and leads me into his room. He pulls back his sheets and I lay down he pulls them back over me and he lays on the other side of the bed. We both lay on are back looking at the white ceiling. It's completly silent until I hear Calebs stomach make a sound of a dying whale. I start to laugh real load and after a minute Caleb starts to laugh to.
''I think you need to get something to eat.'' I say looking at Caleb.
''Yes I think so to. Do you want something?'' Caleb says while standing up from the bed.
''Just some water please.'' He nods and walks downstairs. In a minute he's back with a sandwich and a glass with water.
''Thank you.'' I say to him while grabbing the water.
''No problem.''
Caleb lays back down next to me and he just stares at me. I turn my head in his direction and stare back.
''You're cute.'' I say to him.
''No I'm handsome. You're cute.'' He says.
''Alright you're handsome.'' I say with a giggle.
''I know my mom Always says that to me.'' He start to laugh a little.
''Can we watch a movie or something? I know I won't fall asleep.'' Caleb nods and pulls out some Disney movies. I'm surprised but I really love Disney movies (who doesn't love them).
''Which one do you want to watch?'' Caleb asks. He's holding up Alladin, The lion king and Lilo and stitch.
''Lilo and stitch!'' I say happy.
Caleb's POV
After a 40 minutes Lauren is asleep in my arms. I don't now why she's in my arms. She won't let anyone touch her except for me. She looks so peaceful. I turn the volume down and I lay my head back and fall asleep to.
I wake up and Lauren's no longer in my arms. I miss the feeling of her being there. I walk out of my room and go downstairs I smell something deicious. I walk into the kitchen and see Lauren and my dad cooking.
''Finally awake, I see.'' Lauren says without turning around.
''Yes, what are you guys doing?'' I ask.
''We're cooking dinner.'' My dad says.
''What are you making? It smells sooo good.''
''I really have know idea what she's doing but it looks good and it smells delicious!'' My dad says while Lauren giggles.
''It's a secret.'' Lauren says.
''I don't really like secrets.'' I say.
''Go make the table so you don't have to wait that long.'' Lauren says with a big smile.
Right when I'm finished with the table my mom comes back from work.
''MMMM what is it that smells sooo goood?'' My mom says while walking onto the house.
''It's a secret from Lauren.'' I say while giving her a kiss on the cheek.
''Dinner is ready so if you guys want to eat i suggest sitting down at the table.'' Lauren says, still with a big smile.
She puts are plates down and we all look at it. It looks wonderful.
''Well are you guys going to try it or just stare at it?'' Lauren giggles and takes a bite herself.

After dinner.
''Lauren that was amazing!'' My mom says to her.''Where did you learn to cook like this?''
''My mom.'' She says. She looks down at her ring with a small smile.
''It was wonderful. So if you want to cook again, be my quest.'' My mom says with a wink to Lauren.
