first day of school ✍

"I love you don't ever forget that" I looked up to the man with pale white skin and ice cold hands.

"Its just not time yet... you have to trust me my love" the man smashed his lips to mine his face twisting in pain as if he was holding back.
He let me go that night and i never saw him again.

"Come on kids, school time" Charlie rapped his knuckles against our bedroom door. I groaned and turned over on my stomach and hugged the pillow close to me like a baby. I heard Bella snicker and get out of her bed.

I felt my bed dip and suddenly a slap to my but.
"Hey bella!" I yelled sitting up about to run after her but stopped when I realised I was still only in my knickers and top.
"Just you wait till I get down there!" I yelled and I heard the kettle start. I shook my head and walked into the bathroom. I looked at myself in the bathroom. Was I really as pretty as everybody else said? I combed out my pixie short hair and brushed my teeth  I put on my watch and my bracelet and headed out and back into the bedroom to get dressed.

I pulled on a hoodie over the top of the shirt I had slept in. It was the middle of semester at forks high school I had no intention of impressing anyone. I pulled on a pair of dark black Jeans and my converse. I made sure to put the pin on the inside of my hoodie for luck.

"Hey Ella, hurry up we're going to be late for school... could you bring my bag down?!" Bella called from downstairs.
"Alright, give me a minute!" I shouted back. I stuffed my old black shoulder bag full of some files and my books and then grabbed Bellas brown bag that she had left dumped on her bed.

I ran downstairs and saw Bella and dad sitting at the kitchen table in silence. I walked over confused.
"What's with all the silence?" I said handing Bella her bag.

Then I noticed it, the small plastic pot with two blue tablets in it and a glass of water placed on the table right where I should have sat.

"No" I said shaking my head. Bella tried to reach for my hands but I pulled away. Bella frowned and looked back at Charlie who sighed.
"I'm not crazy" I said picking my bag up from the floor.
"Come on, Ella that's not what this is, its just a precaution" Charlie babbled out his excuse but I wasn't falling for any of it.

"It was stupid of me to think that I could ever be allowed to just fit in without taking any pills" I said taking the pills whilst still looking at Charlie.
"I'm walking to school" I stated and grabbed and umbrella from the front door.
"But Ella, its supposed to start raining soon... you can't get soaking!" Bella shouted after me. I ignored the calls of bell and Charlie and smiled as i headed through the forest and towards school.
What Bella and Charlie didn't know was that the tablets did not dissipate or weaken my abilities, they made it ten times worse. The vision always got stronger more frequent. They just don't understand what it's like to see everything, the past, everybody's present and the future. It's like a curse that keeps me from living or from truly loving.

I can remember snippets of lives of people's more intimate moments I can remember when a man would whisper in their ear that they loved them, but never have I once experienced that for myself. I've never felt normal. I've never felt truly happy with who I am. I always feel like I'm waiting for someone. I'm waiting constantly for my life to start however that may happen.

I was brought out of my deep thinking as I saw a big old stone building with white windows and a car park. I saw Bella getting out of the truck and haul her bag onto her shoulder. Bella looked nervous, she kept her head down but I knew she was looking for me.

"Bella!" I shouted and waved as she turned and saw me. I walked down the hill and greeted Bella.
"I'm sorry about dad this morning, I should have stepped in and said something" Bella apologised, but I shook my head signalling I didn't want to talk about it.

"So this is forks high school" I said looking at the building along with Bella.
"Two years stuck here" Bella moaned, I knew she was missing the sun and so was I. Although I did enjoy walking through the forest and having that right on my doorstep.

"Come on we need to get our schedules" I said before I was slightly bumped by a Chinese looking boy.

"Your the newbies right, Bella and Ella?" He asked and we both nodded. This guy seemed far too happy to be at school on a Monday morning. He was already getting on my nerves.
"I'm Eric" he stuck out his hand for Bella to shake and smiled as she did.

" the eyes and ears of this place... anything you want, need, a tour guide, lunch date, a shoulder to cry on" Eric looked towards me for the last one.

"I'm uh... I'm really the more suffer in silence type" I said looking at him awkwardly.
"Well you swans are hot news good headline for the news page" Eric said and i panicked.
"Umm it no please... dont" I said awkwardly the last thing I needed was any kind of attention.

"Relax no feature" Eric said holding his hands up in surrender.
