Jaspers pov (yey 🙄🤩😍)

The wind blew through my blonde curls as I ran as fast as my Vampire speed could possibly go. I had gone back to Alaska two weeks ago, trying to control myself was getting too hard. Edward had gone back about 5 days ago so it had just been me. I had called a couple of times but the last time I called eveything was frantic.

Flashback

"Hey it's me" I answered as normal as i picked up the phone.
"Jasper! Jasper somethings wrong!" Alice shouted frantically down the phone. I could hear everybody shouting and moving things in the background.
"What's wrong alice?" I asked rushing around quickly packing a few of the things that I had brought with me.
" No somethings wrong with Ella!" I heard Alice shout down the phone and then suddenly Carlisle voice spoke calmly down the phone.

"Jasper it's Carlisle" he said calmly although I still heard rustling going on in the background.
"What's going on I can hear stuff going on in the background?" I asked as even more shouting could be heard from the Cullen house.

"She's gone Jasper" he said and my blood if it could have, it would have run cold.
"What do you mean she's gone? How can she just be gone!?" Shouted down the phone as I began running and hauled a backpack along with me.

"Give me all the details I'll be there as soon as I can sir" I could feel the major slowly taking over my body as I began panicking.
"Welcome back major" Carlisle said as I smirked although knowing that he couldn't see me I answered with a curt nod still.
"Good to be back sir... although I would have liked it to have been under better circumstances sir" I said stopping to look at the signs.

"Ella went missing about 5 o'clock dinner time yesterday. The chief of police found her scarf tied around the tail of a Deer. Charlie said he put ella to bed with some sleeping pills but saw that she had disappeared without taking them." I understood sometimes that ella had felt suffocated by her dad's overprotectiveness but I also got the feeling of guilt from Carlisle.

"Wait, why are you so concerned?" I asked as an arkward silence came from across the line and I heard Alice smash something.

I heard Carlisle sigh.
" I gave him the sleeping pills, I had seen Ella earlier that afternoon, she had a panic attack the night before so her father brought her in and I prescribed her the medication but I didn't know she was in such a bad state of mind major, you need to get back as soon as you can"

"Alright I'm on my way I won't be long I'm literally outside of the forks sign" I said making a swift left into the forest"

Its been so long since I've seen her face. 1863 and then we met again in 1948 but sadly she died before we got our happy ending both times I was too late. I couldn't be late this time... not again. I thought back on the time I had last seen her.

Flashback

1948 25th December

"Hey how's my beautiful girl feeling today?" I asked as I sat on the bed. Ella didn't respond and as I touched her wrist I noticed how cold she was but most of all I noticed that she had no pulse.

"Ahh! I'm so sorry I wasn't strong enough to turn you"

Flashback over

Our lives had been entwined for 100s of years and yet I never seem to get it right.
I hated the fact that I never caught the bastards that did this to us in the first place. I had watch my daughter grow up in an orphanage. I didn't want to subject her to a life that is completely frozen and never moving forwards. Always the same.

I had had to watch her grown up as a father in the side lines. Our little girl kept a photo of us both, she grew up to be a mother and then grandmother and then nothing. Everything I had ever known died and then suddenly there she was. Ella the same age I left her wearing a 1920s flapper dress, that was the second time we met.

I saw the familiar glass clad house come into the distance and could already hear the swift movements going on from the inside.

"Jaspers back maybe he can help" I stood in the door way, my back unusually straight and my hands together behind the curve of my spine.

"No I think it's The Major.... It's not jasper" Alice said backing away from me slightly.
Alice walked over to a scalf on the table and quickly handed it over to me.
"Where did Bella see her last?" I asked after sniffing the scalf. It was deffinetly Ella's, no doubt about it... but I couldn't mistake that sweet smell of a sticky iorn substance. Blood.

"It's got blood on it. Why!?" I asked and Carlisle stood up gently and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"We need to stay calm Jasper, getting angry isn't going to help anybody... Ella will be fine once we find her."

Ella's pov

Okay, okay don't panic. I had left the house late last night, stupidly. I had taken my sketch pad and my pencils. I wanted to get some drawing in before the sun went away completely. Drawing always seemed to help me clear my head.

I looked at my foot that hand been caught in a trap. The device piercing the muscles around my ankle. Everytime I moved it would grip tighter and cause more of the red substance to ooze into the muddy wet ground.

"Please! Please somebody help... please" the desperation clear in my voice as tried to move to reach my phone. The trap pulled on my leg again and I could he'll but let out an ear piercing scream.

"God, what ever I've done I'm sorry I'm sorry, just please let me live" I cried as I laid down on my back staring up at the cloudy grey sky as water droplets starting falling on my already freezing body.

** flashback **

"Jasper I can't do it I can't it's too hard!" I cried as I grasped jaspers hand and squeezed it until it began to go a strange purple colour.

"Shh Shh my darlin' you're almost there... just a little bit longer and we'll have our baby" Jasper sat behind my back grading my head on his chest as he dabbed a white damp cloth across my forehead.

"I love you I know we can do this" he said grabbing both of my hands as another painful contraction hit again

"AHHHH!"

** flashback over **

"AHHHH!" I screamed loudly as I looked up through blurry vision to see Jasper pulling apart the bear trap with his own hands... he looked animalistic with the blood all over his hands.
He seemed to pick me up efortlessly as I felt my leg hand loose over his arms. There wasn't much I could do to help him, I could only lie in his arms I felt the air rush past us with extreme fource.

"Are we flying?" I asked, my head slightly dizzy from the pain and my eyes still locked shut.
"Just try not to move we'll be there soon, I promise"

Soon the feeling of flying stopped and it felt like I had become heavey again, it was like gravity had started up again which meant pain. A lot of pain.

"I can't feel my hands" I stayed, looking up at Jasper I could see his eyes widen ever so slightly but then go back to normal as if he had never seen anything.

"I give you my word, you're going to be fine"
