Chapter Twenty Six

Game

I haven't seen Zeno ever since the fight that we had years before and I knew that he didn't even want to see my face but he knew that if he wanted to get back on the money train  he was going to have to take me up on this legit offer. I looked at Gia who was sleeping in her car seat and shook my head. I didn't want her to be around the business that I was going to handle but at the same time I wasn't going to leave her with Teresa's neglecting behind so I had no choice.

As I followed Santana through the traffic I just thought about how our first meeting after the fight would be. Was we going to throw fists like last time or would he come to accept me as myself and forget the past as the past? Knowing how Zeno was ever since we were kids he was going to keep this grudge close to his heart no matter what. He would forgive the person but still have the situation lodged in his mind but between me and him our problem was lodged in his heart. As much as I can say sorry he still would be upset.

After driving all the way to Miramar we finally got to his place which was a townhouse much well too big for just one person unless he finally found a girlfriend to live with.

I parked right behind Santana and got out getting in the backseat and being real careful not to wake Gia from taking her out of her seat. I  carried her and waited on Santana to get out of the car. I  just didn't want to walk up to Zeno's door myself. I walked halfway down the walkway then Santana walked beside me.

"I hope this aint too crazy for you; let's just not get into any fights with lil mama over here." He assured and I nodded my head putting my hand on Gia's back as we reached the door. He knocked.

Once the door opened Zeno's eyes just stayed on me. No doubt he still looked the same, there were a few more tattoos here and there but nothing changed. He still had the same mean mug and crazy ass twitch in his eyes just like last time. He eyed me up and down before looking at Santana and pointed at me.

"The fuck he doing here man?" he questioned and Santana shook his head.

"He got some business for us, plus he came to make amends," Santana explained. Zeno shrinked his face up and raised his brow looking at me.

"You must got me fucked up? Mr. always spending money ass got business for us?" he questioned.

"It's either you take my offer or don't. I'm still here for a reason, so can we talk or not?" I asked and he took a deep breath and looked at me moving from the door and letting us in.

Zeno had much of a big come up from the small apartment that me and him shared for a while. Now he was sitting in gated communities with a big ass townhome. I looked around and it was spacious and big, too big for just one person. I laid down Gia on the couch then sat down looking at Zeno who couldn't help but to look at Gia.

"Shit man I forgot my wallet, I'll be back, aight?" Santana quickly said and just ran out the house leaving me and Zeno by ourselves in pure silence.

I looked down at Gia who started to fidget in her sleep starting to kick my leg, making me rub her back to calm down.

"You want to put her in the room. I got one she could sleep in for the time being," he asked and I looked at him.

"Yeah sure," I answered.  He nodded his head.

"Just go upstairs, third door on your right," he directed. I picked up Gia and went up the stairs to the room that he guided me to and opened the door to an all burgundy and brown room, flat screen on the wall and a king sized bed. It was basically a master's bedroom but a guest room. I put Gia in the middle of the bed surrounding pillows around her and turning on the TV and changing it to Disney junior just so when she wakes up she wouldn't have a complete meltdown.
