'I haven't written in this thing since... almost the beginning... it's been 7 months since we left the high school and 3 since our community fell. It's getting into winter now.. not sure what month it is honestly or day for that matter, actually I don't even know what time it is. I just assume it's always noon when the sun is at its highest. But I wanted to write about the recent events... we lost more people this week.. mostly in the same day. Kendal, Sangeeth, we almost lost playboy to some crazy fucks in the woods. But we uh we've been on the road for the last 3 days now walking we lost our cars to a herd of infected. I've given up all hope in finding out what's going on with the world, there's been no word from the government or the authorities. I'm worried about my family and my friends.. will we be stuck like this forever? Trying to survive every single day? It's all just confusing but right now we are headed northeast towards D.C., Morales says they might be a safe place or "sanctuary" where the government might be setting up a community. Honestly it all sounds like a conspiracy to me ha. But Axios and Melissa are on board so I guess I am too. I still don't trust morales but my people need to be kept safe and I'll do whatever it takes to make sure they are.' "Hey" Melissa said interrupting Anthony "Oh hey, what's up?" She looked at him with a grin "We found a mall about 4 blocks up the road. We are gonna stay there for a while then move on." He nodded "Alright, let's go." They enter the mall, there's snow everywhere inside from the windows above that are shattered and pieces of the ceiling broken off and it there was absolute silence. "Well let's get a move on guys." Insisted Playboy, they find a store that had been completely emptied out. "Ah home sweet home huh guys?" Said Morales "Yeah it's just goddamn peachy isn't it." Axios said sarcastically "Hey mom do you think there's a restroom here?" Marissa asked "Yes baby, come on let's look." Melissa said "Be careful okay? Here *Hands her a knife* if anything happens... scream okay? I'll come as fast as I can." Anthony said to Marissa "Oh so nothing for me?" Melissa asked with a smirk on her face. "What? I trust her." He said smiling "Whatever I have my own knife thank you." Anthony grabbed her and kissed her "Be careful okay?" She nodded at him and left. "Axios was breaking shelf's and playboy was in the back the store "There's gotta be some back here." Playboy said "You looking for anything specific?" Anthony asked "Ah! Found it! Some damn lighter fluid it's got some left in it should be enough to at least get a fire started." Playboy states, they get the fire started and are sitting around it "Alright honestly Morales what's your plan?" Anthony asked him "Uh what do you mean?" Anthony looked at him with confusion "Your plan? I mean you've got us going to D.C. for what?" Morales understood what he meant "Oh right, uh well before someone brutally murdered my boss. She used to talk about going to Washington because some smart guys higher up in the chain knew some what of what was going on with the world." Everyone looked at him with interest "So you didn't think of telling us this like idk MONTHS ago??" Axios said angrily "Well I mean you guys kinda wanted to kill me and the only thing on my mind was trying to stay alive." Morales said defending himself "He's got a point." Said Playboy "Shut up, look Morales my daughter and wife are out there right now okay? Do you understand that? My brothers are sitting here right now and Chad well he's asleep right now but you get my point. I need to know that I can trust you to get my people to a safe place." Morales was quite at first but then began to speak "Okay, I understand you don't need to worry I'll make sure all of us get there sa-" "AH!" They all stood up and looked out the store door "I'm up! I'm up! I won't be late again I swear!" Chad said waking up frantically yelling. The guys all ran towards the sound and saw a man standing in front of Melissa and Marissa. "Get the fuck away from them." Anthony said, the man turned around "Wait no, babe it's okay he's friendly." Anthony looked at her with confusion and she looked at him and nodded. They are now sitting around the fire talking to the man and asking questions. "Look all that aside where did you come from?" Anthony asked "A hospital, I work there or did. We've been there since the start." The man said "Who are you?" Axios asked "Oh wow I'm sorry I really didn't introduce myself? That's rude ha." No one was amused "Um well my name is Jeremy Latch I'm uh I'm a janitor at the hospital well I WAS a janitor, now I help the sick and wounded ig I'm a nurse of some kind." He said "Hm so you have a doctor?" Anthony asked "Oh yes we have one fine doctor he was voted 14th best in the country." Jeremy said with a convincing smile "Is He your father or some shit?" Axios asked "I don't follow?" "I mean your smiling like the doc jerked you off or something." Axios wasn't sure about the man he didn't trust him. "Oh no sir he's just a good man he saved my little brothers life and gave me a purpose at the hospital now I help people too." He responded "Hm, hey Ant I'm going for a walk make sure no infected are roaming around." Anthony nodded "Headback soon we might head to this so called hospital after I ask one more question." Axios nodded and left "Now Jeremy, why are here? Why did you come to this mall of all places?" Anthony asked him "Well uh.. looking for any survivors out here that may need help you know? The doc asked me to find any new bodies so that we can help and serve." Anthony looked at the man for a moment, he looked at Chad and Playboy "Come with me, babe you to, Morales you and Marissa watch our guest... alright 100% DO NOT trust this fuck." Anthony said immediately "Why? He seems alright?" Playboy said "Ugh *Rubs forehead* Blane this is why you're not in charge of anything. Look the dude literally just said "He wants to find new bodies so he can help and SERVE. Their obviously fuckin cannibals." They all thought to themselves "Damn you might be right.." Chad added "Yeah this does seem odd with us JUST getting here and he shows up. They must've been watching us." Said Melissa "Yeah I don't know honestly. But we need to make sure, let's just go there and make sure that we can get out safe when the weather clears up." They go back to the man who's talking to Marissa "See you just feel your wrist here and you can feel your heartbeat. Oh hello, have you decided if you want to join us?" He asked "....Yeah we will come with you." They grabbed gear and were on their way out and saw Axios putting down one infected wonderer. "Hey Axios we are headed to the hospital to meet these people hang back and WATCH the place will you." Anthony said while giving him a look, Axios gives him a nod letting him know he understand. "Alright lets go, how far is this place anyway Mr. Jeremy." Anthony asked "Just call me Jeremy ha Mr. Jeremy was my father." Once again no one was amused "Um it's just up the road here maybe 2 or 3 blocks straight and a left and we are there." Jeremy said "Ugh sounds like some baby back bull shit." Playboy said moaning, they reach the hospital building and it was pretty well defended, barricaded windows and barbed wire fences out front. "Looks like you haven't had any infected touch your defenses." Morales said "Oh no I take the ones that run into the fences and take them around back and burn the bodies it's good for getting rid of the smell and spreading the infection to anyone or anything else." Jeremy unlocked a service door on the side of the building leading up a few stair cases. They reached floor 4 and then Jeremy said "Dang it!" "Is there a problem Jeremy?" Anthony asked, Jeremy started to pace back and forth "Uhh the power is out on our main floor, see that light *Points at flashing red light*." Playboy says "I've played enough games to know red lights aren't good." "Right and the only way to get it back on is to go into the basement and turn on the emergency power." Anthony stopped everyone and said "Wait what does any of that have to do with you opening that door? And if your powers out and you've got people here why haven't they fixed it?" Jeremy hesitated "Simple my friend the door is electronic and uses a password to open it, if one of us can go down stairs and flip the switch we will be aces." Anthony was feeling uneasy, "Alright I'll go then." Morales said, Anthony looked back at him "What?" Morales looked at him and everyone else "Someone has to get this door open, there's a chance we can be safe for at least a few days I wanna take the chance." He insisted "I'm going just don't leave without me okay?" They look at one another and then morales walks downs the stairs. "Alright lets move up to floor 5 there's a waiting room and a few vending machines.. I mean they don't work but if you guys can get the food out then go ahead." Jeremy lead them up stairs and they entered a room with couches, tables and chairs all around. "I'll handle snack duty." Playboy said, "Alright *Click* let's look around the switch can't be to hard to find." Morales said, "Excuse me for a moment I'm going to use the restroom, if you feel you need to go as well it's down this hall to the right." Jeremy instructed "Thanks." Anthony replied "You still don't trust this?" Melissa asked "No way... I know something weird is going on... I can feel it." He said, "Ugh so much shit down here it's unbelievable. Ah! Found you! *Pulls Switch* *Click, Click, Click* "And I found you." *SLAM*
