I woke up to the smell of bacon and cinnamon rolls. I rolled over in my bed and wiped the sleep out of my eyes. I stretched and turned over to look at Jason.
But he wasn't there.
Huh, I guess dad just made him go home after I fell asleep.
I ran my fingers through my hair and put it up in pony tail. I pulled the covers back in place on my bed and walked downstairs. I heard some humming coming from the kitchen.
Dad...? Humming...? I walked into the kitchen and was shocked at what I saw.
"Jason?" I said confused.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well" He started without turning around, still frying bacon in the pan.
"I wanted to make breakfast for my girl, so here I am, making breakfast for my girl."
I smiled and sat up on the counter next to him. It had been so long since I had a full out breakfast. Dad's pancake attempt was the first "real" breakfast I've eaten since mom died.
He smiled at me and kept flipping the bacon, and stirring the eggs.
"Here try this." He took a piece of bacon from the pan, blew on it and put it right in front of my mouth. I giggled and took a bite. "Mmmm" I groaned. "This is amazing!" I said taking another bite.
"Is it good?" He laughed brushing his finger over my cheek. I shivered from his sudden touch. He kissed my cheek gently and then went back to flipping bacon.
A few more minutes passed by as I watched him make breakfast. The only noise in the whole house was the sound of popping grease and sizzling bacon. The ding of a timer cut off my thoughts and I looked back at Jason.
He reached down in the oven and pulled out a pan of cinnamon rolls.
"Oh my goodness..." I said, my mouth watering just looking at them. He put them on the counter and let them cool off. He set the cooked bacon on a plate, and the eggs in a bowl.
"You wanna help me ice these?" He asked gesturing to a tiny can of icing and the cinnamon rolls. I nodded and grabbed us both a knife. We started icing them one by one, carefully spreading out the icing.
We had iced all of the cinnamon rolls and we still had about 1/4 of the can left.
"Well now what?" I exclaimed looking at the left over icing.
"We do this!" He said then took some icing and put it on his finger. I licked it off his finger and he looked at me with his mouth opened. "EWWW!" He screamed. "YOU LICKED ME! SCARLET GERMS!!" I giggled as he fake passed out on the floor. I knelt next to him and fake cried. "No! Baby come back! You can blame it all on me!" I sang laughing. He opened his eyes, "I blame this all on you." He said with a grin, then winked and fake passed out again. I laughed and fell onto his chest. "But I love you." I mumbled into his warm body. "What was that blue?" He asked. I pulled away from his chest an repeated, "I love you Jas." He smiled and kissed my lips gently. "I love you too blue eyes."
He stood up and said "Well let's eat!"
We both made a plate of food and sat down at the table.
"This is amazing Jason, thank you."
He smiled at me and said "You're welcome, anything for my love." I blushed and smiled.
When we were both done, I stood up and grabbed his plate.
"Hey I'm going to help you with those." He exclaimed standing up.
"No, Jas I got it! You made breakfast! I'll clean it up really it's okay."
