I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping. I grumbled and threw my hand over the snooze bar and sighed. I sat up rubbing my eyes not wanting to get up.

I reached under my pillow to grab my phone, and it was gone.

I kept feeling around for it with no luck.

I threw back my pillow, in full out panic mode now, and I laughed when I saw it sitting right where I left it.

I checked it, still giggling at my stupidity, and saw I had a message from Jason

I was thinking beach date tonight? Tell me what you think baby. I love you(:

-Jas

I smiled and replied back.

I'd love that(: what time?

Love you more

-Blue eyes

I smiled at my nickname and locked my phone. I hopped in the shower and put on a Marlins t-shirt and jean shorts. I let my hair down, like Jason said too, and approved my outfit in the full length mirror located on the wall next to my door.

I walked down stairs and checked the time. 9:17.

Huh, that's the first time I've woke up at a decent time, and not the crack of dawn.

I turned on the radio and started lightly singing to myself. I made myself some scrambled eggs, mimicking Jason's movements when he made me eggs.

I smiled thinking about him, as I scooped the eggs onto a plate.

I turned off the radio and turned on the tv and started eating. The highlights of last nights game came on and I sighed.

The vibration of my phone cut me off from my deep concentration on the topic of baseball.

I checked the first text and saw that I was added to a group chat, that contained all the girls from the group last night. I smiled when I read Lucy's text.

We all need to decide to do something. What about we all go to the mall tomorrow? Maternity clothes are totally in(;

I smiled at her humor. I replied back.

I'm free! I'd love that(:

I sent the message and checked the other one, which was from Jason.

How about I pick you up at 7?

I nodded to myself and replied.

I'll have to ask my dad, but that sounds good!(:

I smiled and locked my phone. Then my phone buzzed. And buzzed again, and then again.

I sighed.

The struggle of being in a group chat.

The chat went on and on for about an hour and a half, filled of us goofing off. In the end we decided that we'd all meet at the mall downtown at 12 tomorrow.

I suddenly remembered that I needed to ask my dad about Jason picking me up so I decided to call him.

I dialed his number and at first got his voice mail, then called him back and heard his familiar voice.

"Hello?"

"Hey dad!"

"Hi kiddo whatcha need?'

"Can Jason take me out at 7?'

I could sense him smiling on the other line.

"Sure! Where are you guys going?"

"He's taking me to the beach!"
