It was morning again and it was quiet...just how I like it. Adam sat in a rocking chair, holding mason in his arms. I smiled softly towards him as he came towards me.
....
"Morning Bia..." Adam smiled softly, kissing my forehead afterwards. "How is he doing..?" I asked, slowly sitting up. He shrugged. "He's doing alright I guess...I'm still getting used to the thing where he wakes us up in the middle of the night. Other than that he's... amazing." Adam smiled.I grabbed Mason in my arms as he began to wake up.
'Hey bubba, how are you...?" I asked. Of course he didn't reason but he turned his face towards my chest in a sort of response.

His hand slowly interlocked with mine, his mouth smirking a bit.
"So Ivan...you're sweet...." I smiled softly. "Thank you princess...." he bowed. Ichuckled as he slowly stood up normally. "How'd you become...blind?" I asked. "I gave my sight up. In this part of the 'kingdom' we have something called the Gauntlet. I didn't come in a good place so I lost my eyes. My father helped me sense things even thought I can't see. Believe it or not I'm a good fighter." Ivan smirked.
....
....
"It's just me, my sister, mother, and father. That's it." Ivan spoke. I nodded. "My sister recently had a son." I smiled softly. He pulled me close. "I have a secret. I gave up my vision to see the future in some way. And I see you and me together." He chuckled softly. I blushed deeply.

"You have a power to heal. Don't you?" I asked. I stared at him. In seconds he grabbed my head and kissed me.
....
"W-what the hell!" I screeched. He moved away but I stopped him. "I-I'm sorry!" He apologized. He nodded and rubbed his eyes. "God it's bright outside..." he groaned. "Yeah it....did you say it's bright outside...?" I asked. He nodded.
"Ivan. Take off your bandanna now." I demanded. He did so in a slow manner.
He had deep blue eyes. He was a blonde and yet...it fit him so well."You look so...pretty." He spoke with a trembling smile.

"Ma! I'm back!" Ivan yelled as we walked inside his house. A man, who supposedly is his father stands at the sink, cleaning dishes. His little sister was watching tv, but she turned towards us."Daddy! Ivan brought the princess here! She's real! She's pretty! She's tall!" His sister screeched, running around us both. His father looked up, his face in disbelief. "Uh, hi sir." I said with an awkward smile.

"I came here to get away from the castle a bit: and I've herd stories about The Gauntlet from your son and how he lost his vision. I repaired his vision and the version where he sees the future." I spoke."Well you speak fast." His dad said in amazement. "You're so pretty!!" Ivan's sister smiled brightly. "That's Lilly. My name's Dan. And....how'd you find my son? Did you bump into each other?" Dan asked. I looked at Ivan.
"I'll take her back home, it's getting late...." Ivan sighed, standing up slowly.
"You should sign up for The Gauntlet tag-team this time. I'm sure your fathers will say yes." Dan smiled.

"No." The both growled."C'mon!! Please!" I begged.
"Zoe. You'll lose a special ability during that competition. Even if you win you'll-" Juno stopped.
"Become like Ivan, yes I know. But here's a chance I'll win today because I can do a scan of the arena and I know who will win. And who will die. You can trust me because you will." Ivan said sigh a straight face.
"Fine then. But what happens if you win?" Max asked, staring into his eyes.
"Pride and Joy." Ivan grinned.

"Did I mention that if we win our souls will be bonded? Either that or you gain another power." Ivan smiled. My fingers interlocked with his.
"I like the soul bonding part." I smiled.
