Depression. That's what I felt. I couldn't walk or bathe on my own. I was mostly in bed since then. "C'mon....it's ok..." Maxwell murmured, brushing my hair back. I sighed again, asking "did I really have to lose it...?" "You would've been dead if it was still there." He answered. "But I can't walk! I can't do normal crap now! I need help to walk and do most things! What do you call that? A hero?! Well I don't!" I yelled. "That's nothing!" He yelled at me. "What's worse?! One blind eye?" I asked. "Losing a boyfriend." He said, getting up.
I sat at the lake with my leg crossed. Meditation always helped me in these....tough times. I may be disabled but...I'm just like my sister. Our minds are connected like one. I share her traits: demonic. And she shares mine: optimistic. I started floating from the soft grass, breathing in the air. "He's not with you anymore.....he's just a memory...." I whispered. The air grew cold. "He's not like you....." I continued. The trees whistled in the wind. "He was a phase!" I yelled. I felt his cold hands on my shoulders. I hesitated to turn around. "Come young prodigy.....follow your destiny!" He crooned, gripping my shoulders. "I-I know it's you......leave me alone!" I yelled. "Young child.....I'm here to help." He whispered. "How many days..?" I asked. "Young prodigy....its today!" The cloaked person screeched. "N-no....please leave me alone...." I said, pushing him away. "I'm Darin! I cannot be stopped! Besides.....I am the key." He crooned, stroking my chin with his pointer finger. "Tell me....what brings you here..?" I asked. "You're an adoption. She's not your sister. Those aren't your parents. Those aren't your friends." Darin said, cracking his knuckles. What did he mean by that...? "N-no...." I croaked.
"Yes child....daddy's home." He said.I woke up from a fright. I ripped the cover off, looking at my stump of a leg. I crawled downstairs, everyone sitting in the living room. "Good morning son!" Mom said. "Who's Darin?" I demanded. Everyone stopped chattering. "Well...he's your actual dad." Echidna said, a shadow looming over his face. "The one who created Grimore." Kellious continued for him. "Then what does that mean?! He contacted me in my dream!" I yelled. "It means he's here. He's back." Maxwell said. "Is he...really my dad..?" I asked. "Sorry bro....he is." Sophia said. "She's right.....daddy's back for his son!" Darin said, kicking the door down. He was as tall as I was. His cloak drifting in the wind, and hi jet black hair covering one of his emerald eyes. Darin's black boots clicking as he walks up to me.
"Now.....who cut your leg off hanahaki...?" He asked me. Nobody answered. He snaps his fingers and the stump gets replaced with a new leg, but....it's jet black like his hair. "And to complete the reunion......I'm your dad. And these posers aren't your family...especially this freak!" He yelled, swiftly moving behind Maxwell. He grabbed his head and yelled "what have you done to him?!" "Nothing I swear!" Maxwell yelped, trying to break free from his grasp. "Tell him why you want to break up with him...OOPS. Did I say that out loud..?" Darin asked. "Juno, please! Don't believe him!" Maxwell yelled. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
"Dad....let's go." I said, walking outside.
