Cassie’s POV

“Harry?” I asked, my 11 year old voice sounding worried. I took a step towards him, my arm stretching forwards to touch him. Immediately, Harry took a step back, not making eye contact with me, his face facing the ground.

“Harry, what’s wrong?” Peter asked, his voice equally worried as he fixed his glasses into place.

I turned my head to look at Peter then looked over at Harry, my blonde hair swishing back and forth as I looked between them, my brown eyes searching Harry for what was wrong and what was causing him to act so strange.

My best friends face twisted. “I-I’m leaving.” He finally said his voice hardly audible.

A large gasp escaped my lips, my hands flying to my mouth while Peter took a step back as if someone had hit him. “What?” Peter asked, his voice disbelieving.

Harry tilted his head up, his brown hair falling away from his face showing his icy blue eyes. “I’m leaving.” He said, his voice pained as he looked away. I could see him struggling not to let tears fall.

“Y-you can’t leave.” I said, my eyes watering.

“I don’t have a choice.” Harry muttered, anger laced in his voice.

“Why do you have to leave?” Peter asked, still sounding as shocked as I felt.

“My ‘father’.” Harry gritted out, his fists clenched to his side. “He’s sending me off to a boarding school.”

My face twisted into a look of disbelief and pain, a tear falling from my eye as I looked away, trying to comprehend what he was saying. “No.” I finally said firmly looking up at him, tears now streaming down my face. I moved my blonde hair away from my face as my brown eyes stared intently on my best friends face. “You-you can’t leave Harry! We’re the three musketeers,” I said gesturing to Peter, Harry and I desperately. “We can’t break apart. You can’t leave us.”

“You think I want to?” He yelled causing me to flinch back.

His face immediately turned guilty as he walked over to me, wrapping his arms around me. “I’m sorry Cassie.” Harry whispered, trying to comfort me. “I’m just as upset about this as you are.”

Peter finally spoke, his voice sounding numb as he walked closer towards us. “W-when are you leaving.”
