Chapter 41

Amber

White rose petals and white roses laid everywhere in my room. Five bouquets with dozens of white roses in each vase were placed on top of every drawer and shelf. A smooth, ruby-colored box rested beautifully on my bed. Thin, white lace wrapped around the box and tied into a bow at the top.

"Oh my God," I breathed. "This is so beautiful."

I rushed to the box and untied the lace. I removed the cover and peeked inside. White gift wrap tissue surrounded a photo. I picked up the photo laughing. It was a picture of Aiden smooching the camera.

"Is that him?" my mother asked.

"Yeah."

"He looks very familiar." She frowned a little. "Is he Kim's cousin?"

"Yeah," I lied. "He has a crush on me."

"Do you have a crush on him?"

I flushed. My body felt all sorts of warm inside. "Maybe."

I laid the picture of him on my bed and checked the box again. There was a red bracelet with embedded twinkling diamonds.

"Wow," she marveled. "That guy must be crazy about you."

I blew out an undeniable grin.

Dangling on the bracelet was a small heart. The heart had the initials A & A engraved.

For Aiden and Amber, I thought.

How sweet of him.

He really knows how to sweep a girl off her feet.

After a while of chatting with my mother, she went to bed and wished me a good night. I did my nightly routine and laid in bed comfortably. Mid-night showers were always the best... I bit my lip.

Aiden was the best.

I plucked out a white rose from the vase on my bedside table and inhaled the sensuous scent. I decided to video call Aiden. I wanted to shower him with millions of thank you's. He deserved it.

He answered the call bringing a heavy blush on my cheeks. The screen displayed him walking out of his bathroom completely bare. His hair was nice and wet. He showed up to his V-line. And next to his V-line didn't show any towel or underwear.

So, he's definitely naked.

He looked at the camera and smirked. "You called me around the best time."

I bit my lower lip. "Do you want me to look away when you put on your boxers?"

He chuckled. "I'm not gonna put on boxers."

I blushed harder as he jogged downstairs naked. A deep part of me wished I was there with him, but my shy side refused.

"So, you walk around the house without anything on?"

"All the time."

He opened his refrigerator and grabbed a water bottle. I stood silent without knowing what to say next. My cheeks were red like a cherry I bet.

"Don't worry," he said. "I'm not going to show you it unless you want to see it. Then that's a different story."

I bit back a giggle. The screen showed him walking to his living room. He sat down and took a sip of water.

"So, you received the gift?"

"Oh my God. Yeah! I loved it all. Thank you so much, babe. You're so amazing."
