I can feel your heat climbing onto my body.
The tension rises between us,
Pulling at one another,
Wanting to get close but our fears keep pushing us apart.
Eventually our lips touch,
Throwing everything away,
Just us in that moment.
I feel your body come alive,
Wanting more.
You make music with your moans,
Rising up from within and placing them in my mouth.
Your lips ignite my body,
Sending waves of flame across my skin.
I want this to last forever.
If only we could stay in this moment.
But you enjoyed it too much,
The excitement scared you,
The passion and desire frightened you,
Because in that moment you were enjoying it sober.
You were scared how much pleasure you got from another man,
It couldn't be right to you.
This sin was too sweet,
Too sweet to be a sin.
Could it really be that much of a sin to you if it brought you that close to heaven.
I asked you to stay,
Not just with me,
But in this moment.
I begged you to stay.
Your breath labored,
Too entranced in pleasure to formulate a sentence.
But one question broke that spell:
"If you can't stay, then at least choose me. Choose me over her."
It's as if someone splashed water on you,
You suddenly became defensive,
As if I snapped you from your own fantasy and placed you on stage in front of the world.
You stammered,
Shaken, you reply you can't.
Suddenly you're a different person,
Suddenly you weren't the boy I was just making out with,
Suddenly you become this coward hiding behind a facade of being a uptight player.
How could the boy I was just frozen in time with turn like that?
All I asked was to be chosen,
All I asked was to be your one and only,
But to you I asked too much.Steven Krauss-Akins ©️2018
