That night when I arrived at Ivy's there was almost the whole neighborhood there. April, John, Ava, Jake, Grace, Kade Iris, Caleb, Natalie and Sam were all there. I was really happy to see them all. When I walked in they said that there would be no movie tonight because we do that too often but to change it up a bit we would have a game night because it was new and different.
I was worried about what kind of games we were playing because if these people were the brains behind all this then that already had all alarms going off like crazy. And the first game ends up not being that bad it was hide and seek. As soon as it was decided that Ava was it we all sprinted off. I decided to go to the laundry room and hide behind the washer and dryer. Then I hear footsteps a few minutes later. Great!
It turns out to be just Jake. That's ok I guess. Then he ducks behind the washer and dryer to where I'm hiding and sits down. "Hey," he whispers. "Hi," I whisper back. "Are you crying?" he asks me. "No," I say even though I kind of was thinking about this whole mess in my head. "Do you know what the next game is?" He asks. "Umm no I know absolutely nothing about what's going on here except that I am supposed to hide and wait till this is done," I reply.
"Well, just a warning its spin the bottle," he says. I was expecting that to come from these wack jobs. "Oh that's interesting," I say still trying to process what is going to happen within the next hour. "You know we could just get the game started now," he says. Then he continues," since there's only two of us and this seems like a good place...," he stops short and starts to lean towards me.
I jump up and he says,"What's the problem? I was just kidding. This hiding spots really good and I wanted it to myself," he tells me. That sounds a little like him but I don't know that for sure. Just then Iris comes around in and tells us that this side of the house was off limits. I must not have been listening to the boundaries. I just decide to go into the dining room and hide under the table or something.
It turns out Ivy is there so I tell her what happened and she tells me that they hadn't even planned to play that at all that night. That just makes me more frustrated with Jake. "We did have a variation though but not like that and it's not next that was going to be the third game we played. "If you're trying to tell me that he likes me that is not...," I cut short. What if it is true? What if he actually does like me ugh. I hate you Jake.
