When I woke up the next morning I continued what I was thinking about the night before. I started comparing the two which sounds weird but I'm weird too so that's okay. First Jake, tall, ugly as heck but a good personality. Lola's brother seemed to be kind and considerate the few times I saw him with his sisters. He was also super cute. I think that I should get at least meet Lola's brother today before I thought about this anymore.

I went through the same routine as yesterday then went to take the trash outside. Jake was sitting at the top of one of the slides reading a book. He looked up when I shut my front door. When I looked over a few seconds later he was shutting his book and jogging over. When I reached where the trash cans were parked ready for pickup he was a few yards away from me. I start to head back up my driveway pretending I didn't notice Jake.

I look the other way which turns out to be towards Lola's house. Her brother is picking up the newspaper. Maybe I'll grab my skateboard later and take a ride and see who's outside as long as I avoid Ivy and probably Jake. Someone calling my name interrupts my thoughts. It's Jake. It's just the way my life goes. I turn around to not be rude. I see Lola's brother looking in my direction out of the corner of my eye which makes this even better.

"Hey Jake," I say as Jake approaches. "Hey, Alex do you want to go on a bike ride today. This couldn't get any better I think as I see Lola's brother pretending that he can't hear our conversation. I think this is going to be the best day ever NOT!! I just think about all the ways it could get worse and how its all probably going to happen because life just hates me. I decide to tell him that I was planning to practice skateboarding because I really suck which is kind of true and I know that I wouldn't be able to keep up with him on his bike and he hates skateboards.

He stands there awkwardly for a few seconds and then says,"Okay well if you change your mind just text me." That was so easy I thought it was a joke. I go wash my hands, grab my helmet so that I don't crack my head open which would definitely happen if I didn't wear it, hop on my skateboard and start to ride around the neighborhood. After about a lap around the neighborhood, I see Lola walk out of her house and hop off my skateboard to go say hi.

Okay, maybe I will accomplish my goal today. We walk over to the park and sit down on the swings and just talk about random stuff. Her brother comes over to us and she introduces him. Apparently, his name is Daniel. He sits down on the steps of the playground after we are both introduced and he joins in the conversation. After a couple of minutes, Lola goes inside to get her water and it's just me and him outside.
