We danced through the swirling leaves,
Under the protective branches.
It was a game.
The shade was safety, and the light was lava.
And when we got tired,
We would lay a blanket down
And nibble on fruity Popsicles
As the breeze ruffled our tousled hair,
And the clouds drifted by lazily.
