I watched him that day,
The desperation clawing through his heart,
As he ran up the stairs
To the very top.
Watched as he saved her,
As he cried with relief.
Maybe I'm crazy,
But for some reason,
Throughout each freezing second,
I heard the same two words in my head, coming from his direction.
Not again.
Not again.
Not again.
