As Katherine had made the phone call to Amalia that Stefan Salvatore wasn't doing so well (as Amalia already knew), it left the girl with no choice but to ditch all of her plans of setting flowers down at a student-made grave for Jesse (as she assumed would eventually happen after witnessing what Megan was given after a day of attending the school) and complete a drive down to Mystic Falls to assist the doppelgänger in ridding of his PTSD.
"Hey." Stefan smiled a bit as he opened the door to see her standing there, but it quickly faded. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, when Katherine Pierce calls, I come running. Oh, wait. No. That's you and Damon. My bad." She walked right through the front door without asking permission first, so Stefan shut it from behind her without even checking to see if there was another person behind the door. "Either way, you're going all ripper-y on everyone. Including furniture. Thus, my presence is needed. And I brought company."
"Really?" Stefan watched as the door opened once again, showing Caroline Forbes in the frame.
"And I got my Mom to drop off something for us to use." She stepped to the side to reveal the safe Stefan had been trapped inside of throughout the summer. "Don't worry. I sanitized it."

Stefan and Amalia stood in front of the safe, side by side with one another as he stared down at it. She could hear his heart racing, signaling the panic that was rising within him, so she quickly grabbed onto his hand and hoped that it would at least bring him back to reality, rather than back to the place he was in three months ago while he was drowning.
"I spent three months drowning in this thing. What the hell were you thinking?" He removed his hand from hers, but she still didn't seem to mind.
"Well, I was thinking that you're all broody and... I don't know. I just wanted to help you and google may have said something about getting to the root of your PTSD, so..." She admitted, turning her body over to face him, though he kept his facing towards the safe.
"So you're trusting the internet on how to cure my PTSD? And you're sure you're not just sublimating your feelings about what happened to Jesse last night?" Stefan looked over at her, shocking her with what he knew of Jesse's death.
"Feelings. What feelings?" She played it off, but she was also partly telling the truth (kind of). "And how do you even know about that?"
"Damon told me."
"Oh. Of course. One more ass to kick." She scoffed, not even surprised that Damon had opened his mouth yet again to reveal something she would have rather been kept out of Stefan's knowledge.
