remember those walls i built
well, baby, they're tumbling down
and they didn't even put up a fight
they didn't even make a sound
i found a way to let you win
but i never really had a doubt°°°

Finn stalked off until he was found alone in a random hallway. he dropped his school bag to the side of him, before sighing and falling to the ground himself. he rest his head against the wall, as he held his knees close to his chest. his curls laid across his forehead, as he closed his eyes. his lips were parted lightly, making him release small breaths. silence surrounded him, as he slowly relaxed. but he couldn't relax. at least mentally he couldn't. his mind was flooded with thoughts and memories of Jack. he was frustrated with the sudden rush whenever he just looked in the direction of the smaller boy.
"i messed up" Finn muttered to himself.
or at least he thought he said it to himself.
"yeah...you tend to do that a lot."
lazily turning his head to the side he was able to see that Noah towered over him with a sympathetic smile. Finn felt a small grin show, before it dropped. Noah noticed his upset mood and decided to sit down right next to the older.
"you okay?" Noah wondered, while placing a hand on Finn's knee. Finn just dropped his head and shook it lightly, letting out a low groan. he right after put his attention right back on Noah and pouted.
"why does it hurt?" Finn wondered, while pointing at his chest. right where his heart would be. Noah chuckled at Finn's childish moment, before moving his rested hand and grasping hold of the other's larger one.
"i don't know. never had mine broken. but from what i read, it will hurt for a little bit. and the best way to get over such thing is to have something or someone distract you" Noah squeezed Finn's hand gently. it brought a small smile to Finn's face.
and without thinking, Noah quickly leaned over to leave a light peck against the older boy's cheek. the two looked at each other, eyes never breaking contact. they knew they were slowly leaning in. Finn didn't know why he was suddenly so attracted to his best friend. and he certainly didn't like it. the two were close enough to feel each other's breath; and Noah was the one to close the gap. the kiss was short and sweet. an innocent thing. what made it not so innocent was when Finn almost instantly right after smashed their lips together.
Finn hated the whole experience. it made his stomach turn.
and not too far from the scene, hiding behind a trophy cabinet, stood Jack gaping in shock. he choked back his own sobs when seeing the two on the floor looking to be swallowing each other. fire burned within him. he should be the one kissing Finn right now. not Noah. and he would be, if he didn't start being selfish. if he just admitted that he had fallen for the curly haired boy.
but he didn't want to be hurt again.
and love was the only way that could happen.
releasing a deep breath, Jack wiped a stray tear before turning around. he was about to head back to the cafeteria and or even to his next class, but had accidentally bumped into someone.
"i'm so sorry."
it sounded like a female. and when looking up just the lightest, Jack could see that there indeed stood a girl about his age. she fumbled with her books, trying her best to look less awkward. Jack giggled lightly at the sight.
"it's okay. i'm Jack. Jack Grazer" the smaller boy greeted. a smile now replaced his frown that was full of regret and despair.
"Ellie Hiyar. i'm new. someone was supposed to show me around all day, but bailed on me once lunch hit" she explained, while sticking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. Jack nodded at such information.
"well Ellie, consider yourself saved. i'll show you around" Jack beamed.
"thank you."
