It was as if my whole world stopped. My heart stopped beating and my breath hitched. I ran to Ashley's body, but it was too late. The bullet pierced her head. She's dead. I held her close to me and sobbed, her blood soaked straight through my clothes. "No no no. Ashley please" I begged. My breath quickened, I felt my chest tighten. "Ashley please. I'm sorry. Please don't go. " I couldn't contain myself. I broke down. "Please forgive me. "I whispered holding her face in between my hands. I made a promise. A promise that I would protect her, that I wouldn't allow anything bad to happen to her. I was supposed to protect her, but I failed. And I could never forgive myself.
"You see, " Yongguk said walking toward the both of us. "Now, we are even."
"You killed her. " I said in a whisper. I feel dead inside, there's no fight in me. I look up at Yongguk with tear soaked eyes. He walks up to me, bend down and puts his gun to my head. "Go ahead do it." I said grabbing the barrel, pressing it even harder against my forehead. "You already took my joy away from me. Go AHEAD! SHOOT ME!" My body was shaking. Yongguk just looks down at me smiling. "Shoot me! Shoot me. Please, I'm begging you. Just kill me already." I begged grabbing on to his pants. My body was trembling.
"Look at you, your weak," Yongguk said laughing, pulling the gun away. He stood before me and watched me as I completely broke down.
"Why?!? Why did you kill her?"
"I knew it would get to you." His smile never left his face. My anger is coming back to me. He never loved her. How dare he just stand there smirking. I lay Ashley gently on the ground. Yongguk starts laughing again. "Your so weak. I've always said you were." I looked down at my lap, my adrenaline is boiling. The more he laughs, the angrier I get. "I did like her tho," he continued. "I really liked her faced down, ass up. She was perfect for me. Weak and vulnerable. I had her wrapped perfectly around my finger. Sh-" I couldn't take it any more. I charged at him knocking him down. We stumbled around until bang there was a gun shot. I looked up to see Rap Monster pointing his gun at Yongguk. Jaebum followed right behind him.
"Jay are you okay." Jaebum said rushing over. I looked up at him. Sweat poured down my face, tears stained my cheeks and my breathing was heavy.
"I couldn't protect her. I lost her."
