Brooklyn Adams had just left Colin's, her fiancé's, house after they got into a fight about her news. You see, she had got a text from her agent 30 minutes before saying she had an audition for a new musical in New York: Hamilton. She had listened to the soundtrack demos on her commute there and she was already obsessed and she had hoped her fiancé would be proud of her; that was until he stood up, screamed profanities and insults at her and slapped her across the face after she told him. Brooklyn immediately called off the engagement and went home, still trying to comprehend what had just happened. Why couldn't he be happy for her? What will her parents think? Was Colin right? Was she really not good enough? Will she ever not be a nobody? Her thoughts were interrupted as she reached her flat in East London. It was a tiny flat ,which needed a lot of repairs that she couldn't afford, but it was a roof over her head nonetheless. She sighed as she glanced at all of her belongings stacked up in boxes, ready to be moved to Colin's house. She would need to unpack them and get used to living in a dodgy neighbourhood again, since she told her agent that she couldn't do the audition on the tube home. She took her blanket out of the top box and sat on her sofa as she watched The Big Bang theory, wondering if she will ever be successful.
