"Ok so tell me again." Lin said. Some of the cast were in the emergency room, waiting to hear about Brooklyn.
"It all happened so fast." Daveed panicked "I put on some music and she was dancing and she just slipped and fell."
"Brooklyn Adams?" A nurse called out. Daveed stood up along with Anthony and Lin.
"Is she okay? Can I see her?"
"Yes Mr Diggs, she'll be fine." The nurse chuckled "but she hit her head pretty hard so we're gonna keep her overnight just in case. You all can see her."
They thanked the nurse and made their way to Brooklyn's room, where she was playing with the settings of her hospital bed.
"Hey guys!" She smiled and went to sit up before Anthony pushed her back down.
"No, you're supposed to be resting! You had us all worried Brooke." He said as he sat down next to her bed.
"I'm sorry guys." She frowned "But I feel like you'll get used to this, I'm really clumsy."
"Ain't that the truth." Daveed replied with a smirk, making everyone laugh.
"Why aren't you with the rest of the cast?" Brooklyn asked them, curious as to where her friends are.
"A lot of them were here waiting for you, but they left to get ready for the show." Lin chipped in "Anthony and I should probably head out as well. I'll send both of your understudies on tonight."
"I'm so sorry Lin!" Brooklyn said
"No don't apologise, I'm just glad you're okay." He smiled "I'll see you later."
After they left, Brooklyn made room on her bed and patted the empty spot. Daveed chuckled as he made his way to the hospital bed and into Brooklyn's awaiting arms.
"Well smalls, this will definitely be a birthday to remember."
"Hey Dav?" She looked up at him nervously.
"Yeah?"
"I love you too."
He looked down at her, eyes full of love and happiness, and placed a kiss on her head. He couldn't believe his luck.
"I'm so glad you're not hurt, I'm changing the kitchen floor so this doesn't happen again."
"I'm sure I'll still find a way to end up here again." She smirked "But I do have one request."
"Of course you do." He laughed "What is it?"
"Can you go and sneak in some food for me? This food is absolutely awful." She pushed away the tray that was on her table.
"Five guys?"
"You know me so well."
