"So, about today-" Brooklyn said as she and Daveed made their way home.
"Yeah I'm really sorry about that, I had no idea the microphone was on and you're probably freaked out." Daveed interrupted.
"No! It's okay, really. I feel the same." Brooklyn admitted, unsure where this burst of confidence came from.
"You do?" Daveed asked with a grin as wide as the Cheshire Cat's.
"Of course I do! I thought it was obvious." Brooklyn gushed "But I want to take it slow. I mean, my last relationship moved way to fast and now I'm single." She joked.
"Well I'm glad that relationship didn't last." Daveed replied quickly and confidently, until he realised. "Oh my god! No I meant that I'm glad you're here with me and -" he continued but was interrupted by Brooklyn laughing. "You should've seen your face! And also you're adorable when you get nervous." She emphasised the last words, hoping Daveed would get the reference.
"Oh god you remember that?" Daveed asked, scratching the back of his neck, to which Brooklyn quickly replied "Honey, I remember everything." And flipped her hair, causing the pair to break into a fit of giggles.
"So, taking it slow?" Daveed asked hopefully. Brooklyn smiled and nodded "Taking it slow."
And the pair continued to walk down the busy New York streets, a large distance between them.
"Okay maybe not that slow." Brooklyn laughed as she noticed the distance and grabbed Daveed's hand, neither one of them letting go as they continued to make their way home.
