Maybe It Was For The Best

Elsa's Point of View:

With that I open the door and hug Anna. "I wouldn't shut you out Anna."

For the next hour I spill out my emotions and tears over the breakup while Anna listened and ask questions.

By the end of it I felt better having let go of all I was bottling up.

"How about we go out? We can get you a better guy if you want. I never really liked Philip for you anyway." Anna said all of this in one breath and I giggled at her honesty.

"I don't know Anna. I hardly ever go out anywhere except when I go to the rink. And I don't need a man. But I do need a partner for my ice skating." I say as I think through the situation.

Anna gave me her signature pouty face and I gave in "Okay we can go."

"Yay elsa this is going to be so much fun." She said jumping up and down.

"But let me take a shower cause I'm a mess right now." I say and go to the bathroom to shower and change into a white short sleeve shirt and a light blue skirt, with dark blue flats. I did my hair in a braid over my shoulder.

"Okay. I'm ready to go." I tell Anna and we get in my car and drive to the mall.

On the way to the mall Anna asked me: "So what are you going to do now. I mean about Philip, how are you going to compete in the couples tournaments if you're by yourself?"

"I don't know. Dad will probably just pick the next fastest guy on the hockey team." I say watching the road

"Yeah probably, especially since dad is the coach. Hey what if you get that new guy dad was talking about?" said Anna as she smiled at me like she was trying to cheer me up. But honestly I didn't care about Philip anymore, the past is in the past.

I knit my eyebrows together and look at her confused. "What new guy?"

"Oh you know that one guy from America that dad got a scholarship for so he could be on our hockey team." She said as if it was obvious "That guy is like the only thing dad has talked about since yesterday. I think he's arriving today actually."

"Oh. I think he's the guy Gerry told me is moving into the complex." I said thinking of the possibility of him being my new partner.

Then I heard my phone ring. I look to see its a message from our dad.

'Hey girls. Philip told me he's moving out of town. I'm sorry, but I want you and Anna to come over to the house for a dinner I'm having to celebrate our new member on the team. Be here at 9 sharp.'

I read the text out loud for Anna to hear. Then I look at her a bit confused. "Philip didn't tell me he was leaving town." I say slightly irritated.

"Huh. Maybe it's a good thing you broke up. I mean that seems like something you tell your girlfriend." Said Anna trying to make me feel better.

"Yeah, maybe." I say as I park the car and we enter the mall. Then when we enter the building I see a tall and lean boy with hair white as snow.
