A Second Chance

Reveltions Pt. 2

Jack's POV

I opened the front door as I heard my fathers car speed off away from the house, away from us.
I took a deep breath and faked a smile as I walked inside into the warm house of my mother.
Everyone was in the kitchen. My kid sister, Olivia, was playing with Elijah's chubby feet. Elijah in response would giggle and babble uncontrollably as he played along with his aunt. My mother was sitting down next to Elsa in the table as they drank glasses of water and chatted.
I walked into the kitchen and kissed Elijah's soft full head of hair. As walked around the table to sit next to Elsa. I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her cheek tenderly.
She giggled slightly at the feeling of my cold skin around hers. She turned her face toward me and her smile slowly faded into a concerned frown. She put her hand on my cold cheek and stroked my sore face.
"Jack, what's wrong, baby." I hated the way she asked, with such concern. I knew at that moment she really loves me.
"I tell you later, okay. Lets just try to enjoy this now." I said trying to live in the moment and ignore all that had happened to me just a while back.
As my mom came back and chatted with Elsa, I rested my head on her elegant shoulders and tried to relax. But I couldn't.
I could hear my mom talking about the time me and my father went ice skating on my sixth birthday, and about how I lost my two front teeth that day trying to show off skills I didn't have.
As I can recall I had that accident because I was skating alone on the ice without someone to help me. My dad was supposed to be there to help me but he encouraged me to go on to the rink while he chatted with a friend he meet there.
When my face was cleaned up and fixed up, my dad made me swear not to tell. Now as I listen to my mother talk about how much fun I had, I wanted to tell her the truth but that would give away the fact that I made him run from us.
I bit down on my lip a bit and slouched back in my chair, my head hurts so much.
Soon after the dinner my mom made was ready. I helped set the table with my sister as Elsa and my mom got the food on the table. We ate and talked about our days. I was holding Elijah in my lap giving him taste of all the foods on my plate. The only food he really liked was the mashed potatoes. He jerked his chubby hand into the warm mash and covered his hand in it. He shoved his fingers into his mouth eating the food with a smile on his face.
I chuckle as I cleaned him up, Elsa told my mother about the engagement and they talked about it for some time. Soon enough we finished the dinner and started cleaning up.
My mom took us to the couch for champagne but Elsa didn't take any. "You sure?" My mother asked Elsa and my fiancé nodded her head and held Elijah close to her chest.
I shrugged it off and held the glass to my lips and enjoyed the drink. We only drank a cup and started to chat.
Olivia went to sleep after dinner while my mom asked us about what we were doing in London and we told her about Elsa's job.
Finally we left the house and as soon as we got Elijah to bed and changed ourselves. Elsa asked about before. "What's wrong, Jack? You can tell me, I love you."
Hearing her say that was all I needed. I shock my head as I tried not to become anger at my dad and take it out on Elsa. I took a breath in and sat down on the bed. "It's my dad.."
That's all she needed to hear before she sat on my lap and cradled my face on her chest.
"It's okay Jack, you don't have to say anything."
I smiled as I kissed her cheek. "Thanks, Els."
Then she cupped my face and looked me in the eyes.
I knew she wanted to say something. "What is it, baby?"
"Just that..." She smiled.
I was confused and shrugged my shoulders. "Meaning?" I ask softly as I kiss her neck.
She blushes as she grabbed my hand and kissed me dearly. "Jack..."
I nodded my head to let her know to continue.
"I'm pregnant with your baby."
