He bit his as he stared, catching himself he shifted his gaze back up to my eyes. He looked down smiled and shook his head. "What?" I wondered. "I shouldn't be thinking of this..." my eyes grew wide as I asked "what do you mean?" "Vera..." "Declan..." I urged him. "I want to kiss you. So badly." He breathed inching his way closer to me. "You have a girlfriend." I stopped him what are you doing?! Declan Carter was going to kiss you but you pushed him away!
"You're right. You're driving me insane sweetheart" he answered. I looked down at my feet and let out a short laugh. I bit my inner cheek I stop myself from screaming of joy. "I should go. I'll see you Vera?" "Of course you will." "Hey, just to let you know, my window is always open for beautiful neighbors to sneak in. Just saying" he smirked. I rolled my eyes but a smile was edging its way to the corners of my mouth. "See you Declan" I finally said.

After laying in my bed for a short while, I decided to go downstairs and tell Jenna the news. "Hey Jen!" I started. "What's up?" "We'll... you know how I was upset before and Declan came in to calm me down?" "Yeah you seem way calmer now." "Well he does have feelings for me but he can't be with me because his now girlfriend is psycho and has blackmail that she will leak if he breaks up with her." "How bad is the blackmail?" "If it gets out he won't have scholarships anymore..."
Jenna raised her eyebrows and her mouth dropped open. "Okay yeah that's pretty bad!" "He said he wanted to kiss me badly but I stopped him before he could." I shared "girl why?! You've liked him for seven years now and he wanted to kiss you but you stopped him, what's wrong with you?!" Jen replied shocked. "I would've taken that face and kissed him like there was no tomorrow if I were you!" She added. "He has a girlfriend Jenna!" I explained "so what, he clearly can't stand her!"
"He's going out with her tonight." I replied. "So what. Grab your man girlfriend!!" She cried. I nodded my head and walked up the stairs to my window. I opened my balcony doors and climbed into Declan's room. "Hey sweetheart" he said casually. "Hey!" I grinned as I planted my feet on his carpeted floor. "What brings you here, miss me too much?" he laughed.
"Stand up and come over to me" I instructed. He did as he was told and I grabbed his shirt filling any left over space between our bodies sealed by our touch. I exhaled as I looked at his lips. I slowly inched my face closer to his and suddenly our lips were moving in sync. I pulled away grinning. "You have no clue how much I wanted that" he exclaimed. "Good. Have fun on your date." I smiled sweetly "I won't, all I'll be able to think about is you and this and how much I want you V!" He cried "wear that button up shirt it makes you look hot" I informed pointing. "You're going to be the death of me Vera Lewis" he groaned. He then smiled as I backed up out of his window onto my balcony. I grinned and shut my balcony doors.

Declan's POV (yes I'm doing what I did in New Kid. Deal with it!)
She is perfect but she isn't mine yet. I texted my cousin Ryan about Vera. My sweetheart.

He and I have been close for as long as I can remember. I've shown him pictures of Vera but since he lives in England, he can't meet her. Yet. I rolled my eyes remembering that I have a date with Skylar. I went over to my opened closet and took the button up shirt that Vera requested. Man, that girl makes me so happy! I need to break up with Skylar but I'm too worried that she will leak the video. I'm not even sure if she has it.
I know what people might be thinking, Declan, you're well off money wise why worry about a scholarship? Well, my parents aren't in the best place right now financially so I don't want them to worry about paying for all of my college. This is a full scholarship and it would be amazing for my family to not pay for my college tuition.
*************** Finally I had arrived at Skylar's mansion. She pranced over to my car. "Hey honey bear!" She shrieked in her high pitched voice which I used to consider cute. Now it's just flat out annoying. "Hello Skylar." I rolled my eyes. "Honey bear, you know what I can do, don't you?" "Why are you threatening me? You don't even have that video do you?" I answered. She didn't answer, I saw a worried glint in her eyes. "Maybe I do maybe I don't" was all she replied with. She doesn't! I decided to text Vera
Hey sweetheart, I Can't stop thinking about you. I don't think Skylar has the video because when I talked to her about it she looked really worried 7:15

She can't stop thinking about me. My heart fluttered as I smiled down at my phone. "Honey bear, what are you smiling about." "None of your business Sky." I stated defensively as my smile faded. "Jeez, alright then. "So honey bear. What do you say we skip the dinner and you just unbuckle and we go inside my place?" "Nope. I'm good. How about we just skip the whole date and I kick you out of my car seeing as I'm wasting my time." I answered. "Honey bear, how about I leak that video." "Threatening again, bye Skylar. We're done." "Declan Carter, you aren't ending this!" I luckily already had her outside of my car. I drove off and saw her running behind me to catch up.

I reached my house and parked as I ran to Vera's front door. "Jenna, hey could I see Vera really quickly? It's important." Before she could answer, I was already up the stairs and walking into Vera's room. She was on her phone and right as she saw me she grinned from ear to ear. I opened my arms and embraced her. "I ended it. She doesn't have the video." I breathed relieved she breathed and clenched the back of my shirt. I moved her face to meet mine. I hugged her again and kissed her forehead.
