Declan's POV
It has been seven years since Vera passed. Now I am a college graduate who has a steady job working as a computer programmer. I'm married to a woman who is the closest thing to the first love of my life that anyone could get to. She is expecting a girl and the name we have decided on was Vera Marie. I still talk with Sunny and Jenna, they are the godmothers of our girl and they come over twice a week to eat dinner with us.
I feel bad for moving on, almost guilty, but I know she wouldn't want me to sit around and mope she told me on her last day to move on and find someone that makes me as happy as she does. Back then, I didn't think there would be anyone like that but then I met Harper she makes me almost as happy as Vera did, nobody in the world could live up to her. Our first daughter Aubrey is the living version of Vera just with extra sass, I feel like in most ways my first love is with me wherever I go. I mean a spitting image of Vera along with an exact personality and my wife, as close to Vera as you could get and my second daughter is being named after Vera. Even her sisters say my family is a group of Veras just with diverse personalities.
