The movie finished and I walked into the kitchen to call Jenna. "Hey Jen, best sister in the whole world!" I cooed. "What do you want Vera?" She asked in the same tone of voice as me. "So...I want to go to England with Declan-" she stopped me quickly, "where did this idea come from?"
"Well, he wanted to take me and since I only have a limited time left of my life- possibly- then I shouldn't chance it by not being with my boyfriend or his family? Please Jenna!" I pleaded with her. "Ugh, you had to pull that card, didn't you, FINE!" She gave in.

I thanked her and ran into Declan's arms. "Hey, good news?" He asked me as he held me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and answered, "very good news baby!" I was smiling from ear to ear as he touched my nose with his. "Explain then love," he urged "Jen said I could go to England with you!" I informed him. "Amazing! Let me check when the next trip to Liverpool is!" He pulled out his phone and searched. "The next flight is in two days. Get packing sweetheart!" I kissed him before I ran out the door to begin packing.

The past two days were pretty boring. I was packing, and Declan was going to school. Luckily he's on spring break so I don't need to worry about his school. I kept calling him to ask him about his family and what I should bring. He kept laughing as I kept asking about the stereotypes us Americans said about the British. "So do you guys really drink tea and eat crumpets."
"Yes. Quite a bit of tea in my family," he laughed. "Do you have afternoon tea like in the movies?"
"I don't, I can't speak for other families because they might," he replied. I could hear bits of clothing rustling and the zipper closing on his suitcase. "Ok, my trunk's all packed, what about your's?" I began to push the top of my suitcase closed as I zipped it up. "There, all set," I confirmed.

It was almost time to go, we left with two hours to beat traffic and have extra time at the airport. Jenna agreed to drive us there because she had a large van to carry our luggage. "I'm going to miss you sis," she began. "I'll only be going there for a week at most Jen," I laughed. "I know but, I just never thought you would go so far away." She turned her attention to Declan as we were at a red light, "and keep her safe, I trust you, don't break that." He nodded and reached for my hand. I held it and sighed, "I hate planes!" I groaned. Declan and Jenna both laughed.

We finally reached our gate after going through security and checking in our bags. I only had my backpack with me and Declan had a computer case. "Are you excited?" Declan asked, as I was replying to Jenna and Sunny's frantic texts, they didn't seem to stop ever since Jen dropped us off. "Very, will your family like me?" I replied as I began to calm them down. I decided to tell them that I'll be safe and that I love them and then I turned my phone off to focus on what Declan was explaining to me. "You are worried that they won't like you? How could they not? You're amazingly beautiful, sweet, talented, caring and witty. I admit though, you will need to stop with the sarcasm, my parents don't tolerate it."

I nodded and sighed saying, "I really hate planes." He furrowed his brows wondering, "why?" I shrugged, "just the smell, the fact that we are so high in the air and anything could go wrong, also the fact that we're all cramped together. The only nice thing is that if I get a window seat I'll be fine. Planes just make me sick to my stomach," I informed him. "It was that or a submarine," he replied.

"Is the submarine still an option?" He laughed big he didn't understand I was being serious. "Don't worry sweetheart, I'm here, and hey, if I happen to get the window seat, you can switch with me, that way you don't need to sit near a random stranger, I'll protect you and keep you safe, I'll constantly make sure you're happy and comfortable," he offered.

We boarded the plane and I managed to sit next to the window like I wanted. Declan was in the middle and there was a guy a bit older than Declan, he was eighteen years old. His name was Rider, since we had such a long flight all three of us began talking and it turns out that him and Declan went to the same elementary school in England. He moved from Liverpool to London when he was about sixteen years old. He was on a school trip to the United States and he was assigned to Colorado.

The only reason he's going to Liverpool and not London is because one of his family members -cousin specifically- just had a birthday and they are going out to celebrate. Rider was a nice guy to talk to on the plane, he never seemed to run out of things to say but it didn't get annoying, he was fun and he was the best story teller. I whispered to Declan, "maybe after Liverpool, we could go to London." He nodded and whispered back, "London is where all the tourists like to go, I knew you'd want to visit there," he laughed. For the rest of the flight I either read, listened to music, as I looked out the window, or I fell asleep. Not surprisingly, Declan is a very comfortable pillow.
