Now let's begin!
I woke up, and looked around. I forgot where I was, so I looked at the nightstand, and saw on my phone that Declan had texted me seven minutes ago:
Hey love, I doubt you're up but I went to get us breakfast, I'll be back ❤️
I smiled at my phone and then went to Spotify to turn on my pop playlist. The nice thing about where we are in this hotel, is that we are at the edge so we only have one neighbor who isn't even there, that hotel room supposedly hasn't been used in a year. I could be as loud as I wanted!
I went to take a shower as I placed my phone on the bathroom counter, I heard the door downstairs open. "Hey Love, I'm home!" He called. "Come over to our bathroom please," I instructed. He peeked in and smiled, "hey sweetheart, nice choice of songs."
I laughed, "thanks, I'm going to take a quick shower and then I'll be out to eat okay?" "Alright," he answered as he kissed me on the cheek before leaving. I turned the water hot, and began getting undressed. I stepped in and began to clean myself.
I came out and put my outfit on:

I wrapped my hair up in a towel, carful to not get my clothes wet. I walked out of the hallway where our bedrooms were, and I walked to the kitchen. Declan stopped pouring the coffee to see me and when he did, his jaw dropped. "That's mine," he smiled. "You look gorgeous sweetheart," he added. "Is this okay to wear to a meeting with your cousins?" I questioned as Declan handed me a coffee mug which was already filled up. "Of course, they wear the same but don't look as good. Plus, my guy cousins won't care, if anything, they'd be pleased," he laughed to himself.
I tried to remember my cousins, I just couldn't. We never have been close, I only met them once because we all met up during thanksgiving when I was like five. I stopped reliving memories and began to eat. Declan went to Dunkin Donuts and got us both coffee and some donuts. He's honestly the best. I drank the last of my coffee and headed back into our bathroom to curl my hair and put on some mascara.
We hopped on another Double decker and got off a stop near their parents' house where we were going to meet them. We found their house, and Declan knocked on the door. One of his guy cousins answered with a smile. "Declan!" He shouted. "Ryan!" Declan cried back. Ryan turned his attention to me and Declan's hand that was intertwined with mine.
"So, this is the girl you never stop talking about, aye?" Ryan asked. Declan nodded and introduced him to me and me to him. "Vera, gorgeous name for a gorgeous girl," Bryan charmingly said, taking my hand in one of his and kissing it. "That's enough Ry, we get it, you're charming," Declan declared as he gripped my waist pulling me away from Ryan to be closer to himself.
We both walked inside the house and a girl that looked about age, came over and hugged me then Declan. "You must be Vera!" She smirked. I nodded and she added, "I'm Layla! Nice to meet you." I smiled and saw a little girl who looked to be about two climbing down the stairs on all fours. I rushed over to her and smiled as I crouched beside her. "Hi!" I cooed.
Declan touched my back and said, "that's Sydney, she's my baby cousin. One of many actually." I smiled at him and asked, "Can I hold her?" He nodded and I picked her up smiling. "Ooh wifey material," Layla joked. I smiled at her and Declan agreed, "oh, for sure!" I looked at him and lightly laughed, "I'm not ready for kids...yet."
Who knows if I'll even live myself, I couldn't possibly have a baby if I can't even survive myself. I have fifteen days left. Fifteen isn't a lot. Vera, stop, the doctors are looking at cures and testing them to see if they will work. It doesn't mean the cure will actually work. Stop Vera! Live in the moment and quit moping.
Sydney began to laugh as I set her on my lap once I sat on the couch. Declan came to sit next to me and gave me a shoulder massage. "Why are you being so sweet to me at the moment?" I wondered. "No reason sweetheart, you're just the love of my life," he answered as he stopped rubbing my shoulders to kiss my cheek. I furrowed my brows but looked back at Sydney and smiled, "hi, hi!" I cooed in baby talk as I bounced her on my lap. Declan laughed and I looked at him. "What?" I wondered.
"You'd be a good mum," he answered honestly. What's with him? I thanked him and looked up at Layla and Ryan. They were looking at us as if we were the most famous people and were standing right in front of them. What is everyone up to today? "You two would be great parents," Ry told us and Declan nodded. "Thanks," we both replied in unison. What's with everyone thinking of Declan and I as parents?
"Baby, come with me for a sec?" He asked me taking my hand. I nodded and set Sydney down as I followed where he was going. "Love, you know that you're the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life right?" He began and I nodded. He took out a box and opened it. There was a promise ring inside and I took a few steps back. "I want you to know that I'm willing to spend my whole life with you," he stated, walking closer to me and taking my hand, sliding the ring on.
He kissed my hand and then took his lips away and lingered his lips close to mine. He gently kissed them and I began to cry. Not because I was happy. Not saying I wasn't, I was completely elated but I feel like we are making promises that we won't be able to keep. I don't want him to be hurt if I leave. "I-I don't know what to say.." - - - Sorry to leave it at a cliffhanger BUT it might be a while till I post the next part so hang tight and read a couple of books in your library other than mine or something.
