I watched as Max walked around the bedroom, looking for something, before laying next to me. He kissed me and I smiled as his hand sneakily pushed up my nightgown. I caught his hand and pulled away.
"Max, we need to talk about something," I said as I sat up and he propped himself up on one arm.
"What do we need to talk about, my love?" he asked as I played with my hands. I opened my mouth then closed it. "Sam, what is it? Is something the matter?" After four months of marriage one would think I would have the courage to tell him.
"I am pregnant with our first," I stated and he sat up to look at me. He held my face and smiled as he kissed me repeatedly.
"Sam, this is big news! I can't believe that you are pregnant," he told me and I smiled as I touched my stomach. He laughed and kissed me again.
"I was worried that you be angry with me," I told him and he instantly shook his head at me.
"How could I be angry?" he asked and I didn't say anything. "Let's go to sleep and I will tell Mrs. Winchester in the morning of our good news."
"Our baby will be born in the turn of the century," I commented and he laid me down. I laid on his chest as he kissed my forehead.

I woke up in the middle of the night to coldness kissing my neck. I sat up quickly, without waking up Max.
Come, child, a spirit said and I looked towards the bedroom door where a woman was standing. I stood up and walked towards her. She floated to the kitchen down the hall and I followed.
Samantha, Luke's voice rang out as I entered the kitchen and I looked towards the source.
"Luke?" I asked as I walked towards him. Alas, he was a spirit that I could not touch.
I miss you, he whispered as he touched my face and I shut my eyes as my tears flowed down my cheeks. His face was destroyed and I didn't want to remember him like that.
"I miss you too, Luke. How did you die? No one told me," I muttered. He held my hands and I shook.
Do not worry about that. Max loves you very much and that's all you need to know, he whispered and I could hear Max coming down the hall.
"Luke?" Max asked and I looked at Max. Luke disappeared and I walked to Max.
"He came here to see me," I let out the sob that I was holding back.
"I've never seen another spirit except the one that attached itself to me," Max said as he held me to his chest.
"Madalynn and I can see all of them," I told him and he stared at me. He didn't say anything about it as he picked me up and headed to the bedroom.
"We have to work tomorrow so let's get some sleep before the sun comes up," he said as he laid me on the bed and pulled the blankets over me. I shut my eyes and let myself fall into deep sleep.

"Good morning, Madalynn," I said as I joined her in the ballroom to dust it and get ready for the Christmas tree.
"Good morning!" she sang as I stepped on the step stool to reach the window across from her. I was lost in my thoughts when she cleared her throat. "Are you feeling well, Samantha?" she asked and I shook my head.
"Luke visited last night and I think he is part of the house now," I told her and she looked at me with shock.
"Why would Luke come to the house? The spirits are haunting Mrs. Winchester because they are upset at her husband's guns," she said and I stared at the stain glass window.
"Luke loved his job. What if he is here because he loves Mrs. Winchester and her home so much?" I asked and she looked at me with parted lips.
"I think that is possible," she agreed and I continued dusting. "But what would he do during the day? We have both seen them do their own things during the day." I was silent while I thought about it.
"His job. He is running errands and checking on everyone while they do their jobs," I decided and she shook his head.
"That's if he isn't watching you every second of the day," she joked and I laughed, knowing she was right about that.
"You know that he did do other things than watch me, don't you? He helped me clean room so he had an excuse to talk to me," I commented and she laughed as she stepped down from the step stool.
"He didn't really do his job after you came to the house," she said, "Luke was something from the Irish horror stories my ma and pa told me about the British." She shuddered and I cocked my head at her.
"Luke couldn't have been that bad," I said and she blew some air out of her cheeks.
"You would think that a man would be within reason but Luke nitpicked at every little thing that anyone did which drove many of the workers insane that he couldn't calm down," she said and I nodded.
"Maybe he was just-" I started before she interrupted me.
"Luke was a b*stard. There is no argument there," Max said and I looked at him with a sad smile. "But he did have some redeeming features that came out more when Sam was around. Both you ladies are correct and yet wrong."
"I thought he was going to be a good man and I believe that I was wrong," Madalynn said and I chuckled a little.
"Max... you should know better," I said as I walked to the fireplace to dust.
"I just knew Luke," he said and I over to the doorway where Luke's spirit was standing. He smiled at me as he crossed his arms and I smiled a little bit until he looked at my stomach.
I told you Max loves you a lot, he said and I nodded as I looked at fireplace. He will take care of you, Samantha. I looked at Max who was discussing with Madalynn.
"I know," I mouthed to him.
It's a boy, he said and I smiled. I already had the perfect name already.
