I walked up the staircase, entering the second floor and headed towards the rumored place Amanda shared with me in order to look for my first love's spirit,. I thought he was released into the universe, because as far as I knew he had no unfinished business with the living, therefore he did not need to haunt anybody who all wanted the Winchesters to see what Mr. Winchester did to them like his. On the other hand, Luke did not have any foul business to take care of; he even promised me that he would leave so I didn't have to worry about him.

"Luke?" I asked, aloud in the bedroom I entered. He materialised in front of me with his ordinary, firm look that he normally gave others until he realised that it was me then his look softened with a smile.

"What are doing here?" he asked, and I walked closer to him, trying to grasp words to say. I wanted to hug him, but I knew that it was impossible.

"You're the one asking, Luke. You promised me that you would leave," I said. He nodded as he studied my face for a moment in silence.

"I couldn't leave though. I wanted to stay here and help Ms. Winchester with her business," he said. I stared at him with absolute shock.

"No one has seen you in over sixteen years," I told him, trying to keep my voice calm. He scratched the top of his head with the most confused look I had ever seen from him.

"It's been sixteen years?" he asked while looking at the ground. I nodded. "That's impossible. You just gave birth to a baby. I was there, I remember that."

"That was sixteen years ago, Luke. That child just turned sixteen years old yesterday. Why don't you understand that you can't be here?" I said. He stepped towards me with he hand out the same time I took a step back.

"The two little girls that walk around with you during the day, who are they?" he asked. I took a deep breath as I watched him with caution.

"My daughters, Syren and Amanda," I told him. It felt like catching up with an old friend, rather than a spirit that was staying in the house. I had to set boundaries quickly. "You leave them alone, do you understand me?"

"They are beautiful... like their mother. I would never hurt them," he told me. I looked away from him, crossing my arms.

"Why are you staying here, Luke? You have no reason to haunt Ms. Winchester or any reason to stay to do your job. Max does a good job," I told him, trying to keep away from the mess emotions he wanted me to feel so I didn't try to convince him to leave. I had to make sure he left so Ms. Winchester wasn't haunted by him every second of every day.

"I'm not here to haunt her. Why would I haunt her?" he asked, getting upset.I knew that I should have walked away from him, yet, I wanted to stand my ground.

"You are staying in the house for the spirits that haunt her. Why wouldn't I assume that you are here to haunt her?" I snapped back. He walked closer to me with the saddest look in his eyes, yet I kept my back towards him.

"I enjoy working here. It's where I met you and fell in love with the most beautiful woman to ever walk into the house. Some of us stayed here to continue working, Samantha," he said. I shook my head.

"None of you have any need to stay here, you all don't have any business here. You are going to drive Ms. Winchester mad," I told him. He cocked his head at me, his eyes full of love.

"I stayed for you, Samantha. I need to make sure that you are healthy, and Max is taking care of you. How could I just leave my first love when she is still alive? The other workers never finished their list of things to do for Ms. Winchester, and they feel guilty if they don't stay and work, especially after everything she have done for us," he told me as he walked across the room. The room was so quiet I was positive he could hear my heartbeat.  "Are you pregnant?" I turned towards him, shocked. I hadn't told anyone that I was pregnant again. I knew that spirits knew things, but the problem is that they usually heard it from other people.

"H-How do you know?" I asked, stumbling over my words. He looked at my stomach and shrugged with the most calm look I had ever seen.

"We can see things about people without them saying it. We are usually not suppose talk about it, but I needed to let you know that. You are what? Two months now?" he asked. I touched my stomach and nodded, grimly, as I leaned against a wall.

"You can't invade my life like this, Luke. I haven't even told my husband about the baby on the way. There are reasons as to why you have to follow the rules," I stated. He nodded.

"All the spirits are talking about the newest Jameson that will join the house. I just thought that you should know... Amanda, she's the youngest, correct?" he asked. I felt my anger raising as he talked more about my family.

"You leave Amanda alone," I told him. He nodded with his hands up.

"We wanted to stop the darling from falling into the coals, but alas we cannot grab humans to protect them. We can't move anything really," he said.

"Leave my family alone," I said. He looked at me and shook his head.

"You know that I can't do that. You added me to your family the second you named your son Luke. Our spirits became intertwined forever the second you did that. That sixteen year old is part of the reason I am staying," he said. I shook my head, trying to think of something to say.

"Samantha!" Madalynn called out, softly. I looked behind me to see where Madalynn was, but when I turned around to look at Luke, he was gone. "Are you feeling well?" she asked as she shut the door to the bedroom. I slowly let myself fall to the floor, still leaned against the wall. "You look pale."

"I think so. I should get home to get the girls into bed and make sure that Luke comes home from dinner," I said as I tried to get up to leave the room.

"Luke came to you, didn't he?" she asked. I stopped with my hand over the door handle and looked at her over my shoulder.

"It doesn't matter if he came or not, but what does matter is that I need to take care of my family," I said. She grabbed my arm so I would look at her desperate look.

"I am your family, Samantha. Please just tell me what is bothering you about this," she said. I took a deep breath and looked around the room to make sure that he didn't come back.

"Luke said that a lot of the workers who have died are in the house, doing their work for Ms. Winchester. I don't understand why they would do that though," I admitted to her as I walked to the window to look out to the garden.

"Maybe you need to figure that part out, but it is getting late, so let's get home and talk about this in the morning," she said. I nodded and looked in the corner of my eye to that bedroom a second time as we walked out.
