"Mother, how can I help you today?" Luke asked as he met me in the ballroom. Six months since Max and Luke tried to make me pick one of them, and I hadn't seen them since. It was almost Christmas, and I was decorating the tree in the ballroom like I did every year. I had the youngest of my four children, Eric, in the crib near me.

"It's time to decorate the tree," I said with a smile. He smiled as his sisters came in. Amanda no longer wore the black mask since she outgrew the mask so she had a slick white one that she picked.

"Can I put on the tree star?" Luke asked. I nodded with a smile, and he picked up a box of ornaments.

"Mother, I want to put the popcorn on the tree!" Amanda yelled. I laughed a little as I patted her head.

"Quiet down dear. You can put the popcorn on," I said. Syren silently put ornaments on the tree. I looked at her as she just stayed silent. "Syren, would you like to put on the  tinsel?" I asked. She looked over at me.

"Yes Mother," she said as she turned back to the tree. I exchanged a look with Luke, who shook his head.

"Syren, you aren't very happy for it being nearly Christmas," Luke said. She looked at her brother.

"Alexander and I have the Christmas Competition in two days," she said, "I'm just focused on the moves."

"We will be there, Syren."

"Amanda, you need to sit still. I know that it is cold, but Syren and Alexander will come out soon," I told her. She stopped moving as Luke fixed his hat.

"I am certain that Syren and Alexander will do amazing," Luke said. I smiled at him.

"I know she will. All she does practice," I said. Amanda hummed a song under her breath.

"Excuse me, are you Syren Jameson's mother?" a man asked as he and his wife stopped in front of us.

"I am. May I help you?" I asked.

"I am Patrick Blankenship, and this is my wife, Annie Blankenship," the man said, "We are Alexander's parents."

"Oh, it is a pleasure to meet you both. I have heard many wonderful things about Alexander," I told them as I stood up, holding Eric to my chest. He was fussy about the cold, but I was warming him up more than enough.

"As we have about you," Mr. Blankenship said.

"I am so sorry about your husband," Mrs. Blankenship said. I stared at them.

"Thank you," I said as I sat down with Eric. I focused on him as Luke stood up.

"I am Syren's brother, Luke," Luke stated. Mr. Blankenship shook hands with my oldest son.

"Alexander has mentioned that you come with Syren to make sure that she is in the rink before you leave," Mrs. Blankenship said. Luke sat down and looked at me.

"Miss Syren Jameson and Mister Alexander Blankenship dancing to Swan Lake," the announcer said, causing the Blankenships to sit down to watch our children dance. Syren was wearing a short dress and holding Alexander's hands while Alexander was wearing a suit that seemed to be really tight yet he was able to move freely. They looked at each other in the middle of the ring as they talked softly. They moved to opposite sides of the rink to start their routine.

"You were beautiful," Luke said as he picked up Syren after she finished. She laughed as he swung her around. The Blankenships were talking to Alexander as he looked up to his parents. They had won first place, and Coach Teller had the largest smile on his face.

"Look at how pretty the medal is," she said as she looked at the medal that was around her neck. I smiled at her as she smiled at her medal with so much pride. "I won this by my talent with Alexander."

"Yes, you did," Alexander said as he walked over with the Blankenships. Syren smiled at me before Alexander took her hand.

"You have talent as well," Syren said as she looked at him.

"I want both of you to take some days off, but once the New Year passes," Coach Teller told them, "We are back on the ice getting ready for the next competition."

"Yes, Coach Teller," Alexander said as Syren looked at Alexander with a smile.

"Syren, come along. We need to get back to Mrs. Winchester," Luke said as he took Eric from me. Amanda held Luke's other hand as she looked at Alexander.

"Merry Christmas, Alexander."

"Merry Christmas, Syren."
