Leah's pov
Last week and this week have been going by so fast. I enjoy the new job I have and I'm already getting used to the people now which is good. I'm so grateful.
"I wanna go join dance with Emme" Sofia randomly tells me while I was watching tv with her. "Oh yea Jennifer told me." "So can I?" "Once everything is settled you can. It costs money for you to take classes." "Oh..okay then"
She really wants to dance now all of a sudden. She's been telling me for a while already but ever since that sleep over she's talked about it more. It would love her to join though. It would be cute and Jennifer and I could root for our daughters together.

"Let's talk about something else" jen giggles after a stupid conversation we had about boys. It was brought up again because of that thing that happened last time when the guy rudely ignored me when he was paying attention to Jennifer. We were eating lunch outside at the patio of this restaurant not to far from work. We eat out for lunch almost every other day. It's pretty fun.
"So what do you wanna talk about?? I'm not much of a conversation starter" I giggle. "Hmm.. well let's talk about the same thing but girls this time. It's something we both like" she shrugs. "Okay sure. Like what?" "Like..types. I wanna see what type of girls you like. I'm just curious...don't take it the wrong way. It's just pretty interesting having my daughters best friends' Mom have something in common with me"
"Okay. Sounds fair. I guess I'm more into the girls who-" I pause and I realize the type I'm into is her. Well I've known that already but I don't want her to think anything. That's kind of awkward. "..stylish? Girly? I don't know like - the ones who cares about how they look. I'm not like the ones whose into girls who dress or act like a guy or doesn't care how they look" I nervously giggle. "No offense to them but you know..I'm tryna explain" "oh no I get you. Me too.." "Really?" "Yup. Either a hot guy or a hot girl. But like I said I'm not looking for a guy. I'm more scared to bring a new guy in my life than a girl."
"Makes sense"
"Have you ever been serious with a girl?" She asks me "I have...but way before my ex and Sofia. How about you?"
"Yea.. I've only been serious with one but that was soooooo long ago. The rest was just messing around type of shit. They all just found me attractive but didn't want to commit sadly."
"That sucks..who wouldn't want to commit to you when they have the chance?" I said out of the blue. I was not thinking that much again when I said that. She looks up at me and smiles. It looked like she was trying to hold it. Then she looked back down and played with her food. "Well..I'm not that great I guess." "Why's that?"
She still looks down at her food eating. "I don't know. I'm "too clingy" for them but I'm really not. Just a little bit.."
"What's wrong with being a little bit clingy"
She looks up at me and smiles a little more. "I don't know. People like their girls a certain way..not like me"
"People are stupid" I giggle. "Yup. I agree. A lot of people.. but anyways enough about me. You've really only been with one girl?"
"One girl I was serious with.. but we broke up because long distance. Then I just talked to two other girls. Not at the same time but two before my serious one. We didn't get to the point that we messed around though. One of them I realized their real side and that was a no for me. The other it just happened..like we faded away from each other."
"Aw.. I hate shit like that, that fades away."
"Yeah but whatever. That's the past."
"I feel like they're missing out." She says raising her brow. "Maybe" I say and look down at my food biting my lip unintentionally. This lunch got pretty interesting. Now I actually know more about her. I think I'm her type? I don't know. She didn't say anything about milfs.

"See you tomorrow" I say to Jennifer as Sofia and I get out of the car. "See you" she smiles and waves. "I'll text you tonight" she said and I kind of froze. "O-Okay yeah text me" I smile back then we go upstairs. I still had my smile all the way up to our apartment.
"Emme said that her friend is having a sleepover this month and Emme wants me to go with her." Sofia tells me
"Oh really? When this month?"
"I don't know like the end of this month? They wanna have more sleepovers."
"Hmm..I'll think about it"
"Talk to Emme's Mom. Emme said her Mom lets her"
"Okay. I will"
I'm kind of iffy about that. I don't know the people who owns the house and the kid or the parents. But I mean if Jennifer trusts them..I don't know. I'll talk to her about it. Sofia and Emme are still too young.

Later after I put Sofia to sleep Jennifer texted me.
"Hiiii"
"Heyy :)"
"Hope I'm not bothering you. I'm bored 😂"
"You're not lol Sofia just fell asleep"
"Oh same with Emme"
"Oh yea speaking of Emme. Sofia told me there's a sleep over with her friends coming up?"
"Oh yea. Emme's going"
"Sofia said Emme wants her to come but I don't even know the parents"
"Oh she did? She should go then! I'll introduce them to you"
"Ehhh. I don't know"
"Come on! You'll have another child free night. I could take sofia with Emme there then we could probably go out or something."
"Go out?"
"Yeah. Just us two "
I didn't answer right away after that. After our talk during lunch now I'm even more nervous and shy and shit. I'm crushing on this girl whose my daughters best friends mom. This could get somewhere or I'll be making a fool of myself. Could go either way
"Fine you've convinced me"
"Lol Good. I like hanging out with you"
I bite my lip and smiled a little. There's something about her that gets me. She's so nice and humble and she seems innocent but then I feel like there's another side of her that she doesn't show to just anyone. We're getting to know each other more just by going out for lunch together. I feel more closer with her.
