Jens pov
The next day
"How long have you and Leah been together?" My Mom asks me. She came over to my house just because.
"Um..well actually it's been almost 4 months"
"Four?! What the- I thought you guys just recently got together...I was gonna ask if you're sure you want her to be so into your life that quick if you're having a baby."
"What do you mean?"
"Because i was thinking about what you said. Yes, it's fine to me if you have a girlfriend who wants to raise your baby. But I was thinking, what if you two break up when the baby is a bit older after being attached to her? But I also didn't know you two have been together for a while so..I thought it was too sudden that you were already thinking about having her raise Emme and your baby with you"
"Oh haha.. well yeah. We've been together for a while. Mom she gave me a promise ring. She wants to marry me in the future"
"She did?"
"Yes!" I said and showed her the ring. "Aw that's cute." "Yeah I know. Well I get what you mean. You barely met her
so I guess I should tell you more about her. First of all, we've broken up one time. But because of Emme"
"Emme? What did she do now?" She asks. I giggle and shake my head. "Well- you know how she's really defensive if someone kisses or hugs me? So me and Leah were kind of dating back then and this one time I dropped Leah and her daughter off at their apartment and hugged her before she left and Emme went crazy and started crying and everything. She got scared because of..you know.. she was still traumatized back then. So...I don't know. We went to Vegas one day and she broke up with me" I said and shrugged my shoulders.
I remember every single detail.
"Why??"
"She said its best for me and Emme since she knows my story about my ex. She didn't want Emme to be even more confused about having her mom date another girl so she broke up with me."
"At least she cares about what Emme would think"
"Yeah..but then the girls..Sofia and Emme..they kept bugging us about them hanging out again because they're best friends..so almost a month later we ended up setting a play date for them. Then we got back together a little after that..then it was all good..then Emme told Leah I was pregnant and she almost left me but I explained everything to her like a week later...and here we are....she promised that she'd be the best girlfriend and to help raise my kids..to marry me in the future..all that sweet stuff she said to me" I said.
I'm always like this with my mom. I explain everything to her about my life. I never hide shit from her. If I'm scared to tell her about something, I still end up telling her. I just try and find out how I should tell her.
I continued to explain to her literally everything going on in mine and Leah's life together. From talking about Leah being not as wealthy back then, to now. She just needs to see Leah more to be completely okay with her. But I think she likes her? She did at the dinner and she seems to right now. I haven't even thought about the scariest part yet. I have to meet Leah's parents.

Today all four, me, Emme, Sofia and Leah, were all going to the valleys to go to Leah's parents house. I wasn't nervous at first. But..Once we pulled up to the driveway..I started to shake.
We got out of the car and I held Emme's hand.
"Mommy you're shaking!" Emme says out loud and Leah looks at me. "Are you nervous?" She asks me "no! I'm fine I'm fine...Okay well..no I'm not fine. I'm scared! Leah what if they don't like me??? What if they judge me! "
"Babe" She says and shakes her head. "They'll love you! They'll be so proud..I promise"
I bite my lip nervously. "Do they know you're dating a girl?" "Yes they do" "Oh..well okaaay" I said and looked down at Emme. "It's okay mommy. Don't be scared." She tells me and I smile. Emme is my number one supporter. I love it.
"Hey look at me" Leah says and I looked at her. "I love you" she said. I sighed and force a smile. "I love you more"
She kissed me then rang the doorbell. I cant even breathe. I loooove this woman so much that Im being so damn scared to meet her parents. I don't know if they'll like me or not. I want them to because I don't want anything else to get in between me and Leah anymore. I've had enough of that shit and I just wanna live my life happily with her.
Once the door opened, leah and Sofia both greeted her with a hug and everything. Then Leah looks at me.
"Mom this is Jennifer and Emme. Jen and Emme.. this is my mom. My dad is somewhere in the house haha"
"Hi!! It's so nice meeting you!" I said and shook her moms hand. She was smiling and it didn't look forced. That's good right? Ugh. Let's hope this goes well.
