Leahs pov
So today I'm going to Disneyland with Emme. Me and her are on our way to drop off sofia. I've never been to Disneyland alone with Emme. This means I fully have to take care of her the whole day. It's 11 am now so we would get there by 1 since Sofia's cousins house is all the way in the valleys, which we aren't even there yet, and Disneyland is in Anaheim.
After dropping off sofia we got food on the way to Disneyland. Just Chick-fil-A, the closest one to Disney. We finished the food once we got to the parking garage of Disney. It was quiet but we were both focused on eating. She was sitting in the back. I was still in the drivers seat and also on my phone texting Jennifer. She wouldn't stop texting me because she was excited for us.
"Leah I'm done" Emme said and handed me the empty box. I finished up my food a little after, then cleaned everything up and threw the trash after we got out.
We got to the park and Emme was holding my hand the whole time. It was cute or whatever..reminds me of Sofia when she was Emme's age.
"Where do you want to go first Emme?"
"I dont know" she shrugs her shoulders and looks up at me. "Well- give me an idea..like the haunted mansion? Space mountain? Pirates?"
"Me and mommy usually take the train first and then we could get off after one round to pirates"
"Hmm..Okay we could do that." I said and we walked over to the train station. While waiting in line she sat on the bench swinging her legs next to me while I was standing. There was quite a lot of people so I had to keep a close eye on her.
The train then came a few minutes after and she stood up, held my hand and pulled me with her. I guess she's picking our seats. As we sat, she locked her arms with mine and just sat firmly watching during the whole ride. Even through the dinosaur part. She's so comfortable with me which makes me happy because I want her to be if I'm planning on being another mom to her.
After, we got off and walked to the line for Pirates of the Caribbean. Jen told me we might go on this ride at least three times today because of Emme. She loves this ride, and also it's a small world. I don't mind. I have nowhere to be so I'm just gonna enjoy my day with my girlfriends' daughter.
We were waiting in line and Emme faced me and looked up at me. "Yes sweetie?" "I gotta pee" she pouts. "You do? But- we're almost at the boats. Can you wait?" I asked and she just shrugs her shoulders. Ugh. I am not gonna wait in line again because she had to pee. So what did I do? I asked Jennifer. Even though she isn't here.
"Is she crossing her legs?"
"No"
"Then she doesn't need to pee. She's just saying that. She always does that"
"Why?"
"so she can get attention from you. I'm assuming you're not giving her attention so give her attention!"
"I am!"
"No I mean like literally play with her or something. Don't just stand with her and wait in line. She likes the attention. Or let her use your phone or something."
"Okay fine"
I didn't want to give my phone so I could save battery so I just started talking about random things with Emme and jen was right, she didn't have to pee. She just wanted attention.
Once we got on the ride Emme smiles and looked around. "I love this ride" she said. "Me too" I responded. "My favorite part is the two drops" "you're not scared of them?" "Nope" "well I am" I said. "Aw it's okay Leah." She said and held my hand tight. "I'll be right here next to you. That's what mommy told me when I first went on this ride" "haha thanks Emme. I feel less scared now" I said. I wasn't even that scared. I just hate the drops. But Emme is adorable for that. "Ready?" She asks me. "Yup" i said. Then we started to go down and she started screaming loud. Then we got to the bottom of the drop and had water splash all over us making her scream again.
