Jens pov
Each day, each week, Leah and I get even closer and I'm starting to like her more. Right now me and her are out with the girls on a Saturday at the mall because I had to buy Emme more clothes and I invited them to come along. I was holding Emme's hand and Leah was holding Sofia's hand and they were in between Leah and I.
"Mommy can we go to that toy store?" Emme asks me. Usually I would make an excuse saying no but I'm with leah so now I have someone to talk to when she looks around. I'm just not planning on buying her any toys today though so I have to watch out for the complaining.
"Just for a little bit"
"Yay!" Emme says and let's go of my hand and holds Sofia's hand.
"Emme!" I raise my voice as she starts walking fast with sofia but looks back. "Wait for us sheesh" I tell her "oh sorry" she says and walks slower.
We got in the store and they did their little exploring. I looked at Leah and smiled.
"Where do you wanna go after this?" I ask her. "Anywhere. Up to you" "no tell me! I don't know where"
"Hmm..I could use a refreshing drink. Starbucks or something."
"We could get Starbucks" I say as we follow behind the girls. "Mommy look this is the play set I wanted! Can i- can I get it?" Sofia asks Leah. I look at Leah and she shakes her head to Sofia. "Not now. Next time babe"
Sofia sighed and put it back. I felt bad. Leah just got her first check but she used it for bills and saving for food. This is why I didn't want her to pay for that first date we had. But by now we already had one other date ever since then. I've paid for that though. I don't want her to pay..but she could in the future. Just not now.
"Hey Leah when's her birthday?"
"Um..it's- Wait why?"
"Nothing" I smirk and look at Sofia who wasn't paying attention to us. "Don't get her anything jen it's fine!"
"I'm not getting her anything I just wanna know!"
Leah sighs and rolls her eyes. "don't roll those pretty eyes at me"
"Pretty eyes? Shut up" she giggles "seriously tell me!"
"Fine. It's the day before mine which is June 16"
"So your birthday is June 17?"
"Yup"
"That's in two months!" I say excitedly. "Now don't buy anyone any presents I swear Jennifer."
"Oh how scary you called me Jennifer" I say sarcastically "stop" she says and playfully lightly hits my arm and I scrunch up my nose and laugh. "I'm kidding. But I can't promise you about the presents"
Leah rolls her eyes and we continue following the girls. Later after finishing around the mall it was 4:30. We didn't do anything after. I just dropped them off at home then I went home with Emme.

"Emme!"
"Yeah?" She responds from upstairs. "Come down I made dinner"
She listens and comes down and attempts to climb up the high stool but couldn't of course so I carried her up and put her there. Then I sat by her and ate too while she watched cartoons on her iPad.
I went on Instagram and the first picture that popped up was a selfie of Leah. Posted 20 minutes ago. I just liked commented two heart eyes and carried on. She's so fucking gorgeous I feel so lucky that I've been on two dates with her by now. We are considered dating. We haven't really acted like it though because I swear..she's the nicest person I've ever met. But I do like her. She makes me blush a lot too.. I don't know. I'm trying to see how life would be if Leah and I actually got farther than where we are now. Like what if I actually fall in love with her? She's my type. I don't see me disliking her and I definitely wanna get farther with her than we are now. Just not yet. Taking it slow. We have kids who won't even understand two women dating each other. Also I don't know how much she likes me.
"Mommy I'm done and sleepy" she says sounding tired. "Okay go brush your teeth I'll be upstairs in a bit" I say and help her get down. I cleaned up then went upstairs. Did the whole night routine and this time she wanted to sleep in my bed which was bigger.
"Wait I want my bear" She says jumping off the bed and runs out of my room. Then she comes back with her stuffed bear and climbs onto my bed. Then over me to get to the other side. I put on her favorite show on tv stayed under the sheets with her so she could fall asleep. But then my phone goes off it's a text from Leah. She just loves to text me at night doesn't she?
"Hey. This is random but I think I wanna get a car sooner than I expected"
"What? You don't wanna ride with me anymore?"
"No I do! It's just I wanna go out more and I need to because of my errands. I'm getting so tired of taking the bus"
"Why don't you Uber till you have enough for a car you'd actually like? That's better so that you won't spend money on a car you don't like, and then later wanting the car you do like but already spent it on the first car."
"I've never taken Uber before"
"Oh. Well then I'll teach you. I could show you at our lunch break Monday"
"Okay! Yes that would be amazing thank you"
"No problem :)"
"What're you doing right now?"
"Cuddling with my babyyyy. 😂 you?"
"Lol Just watching tv. I was thinking about you too so I came up with something so I could text you"
"Omgg really?"
"Yup.."
"Well I could text you till Emme falls asleep :) Then ima go shower then sleep"
And we ended up texting all night. Even after I showered. She kept making me smile..little things she says..I just love it. I fell asleep happy.
