That night, Uriah and I decide to take a walk in the orchards, unsure of what else to do. We both managed to get a night off from work, mine from the laundry rooms with Tris, and Uriah from the Amity fields collecting produce.
"We're leaving the day after tomorrow, hey?" Uriah says as we climb a tree and sit within the branches. I look to him, rubbing my large, swollen belly protectively. "The Abnegation crew want to go back into the city because it's 'selfish' to be out here. He asked if Tris and Four would escort them, and I told them we would come along." Uriah tells me, and I nod. This agreement must have taken place after I left the dining hall this morning.
"What if I see Eric, Uriah? Will he kill me?" I ask, concern lacing my voice. Uriah doesn't meet my gaze, but he shakes his head furiously.
"He's not going to touch you, Ari. I'm going to protect you with everything I have, like Four. You and that baby girl. That baby is going to be safe and happy, and she's going to grow up with a family to call her own. She will never be alone." Uriah says, and I find tears leaking from my eyes.
"Uriah..." I say hoarsely, wiping my eyes. I move to his branch, and I hug him tightly. Uriah presses a kiss to my hair, giving my body another squeeze.
"You're okay, Ari. Don't cry." He whispers, holding me tightly to him, in a loving, brotherly way.
I try my best to breathe and calm down, which only partially works. The constant thought in the back of my head keeps popping up: the worst is yet to come.

The next morning, Uriah and I wake up to shouting. I bolt off my bed and run outside to the picnic tables where a crowd is developed, around something. Oh no.
I shove my way through the crowd, and find Peter on the ground beneath Tris, with a bloody nose and face. Tris looks like she's flying high on anger. Two Amity men drag Tris off Peter, and she's fighting them with her all.
"Let go of me!" She cries. The two men carry Tris away, while an Amity man and woman help Peter off the ground and towards the infirmary.
Arrogant prick.
"What happened?" I ask Caleb, who scowls as they drag Peter away.
"He baited her, blaming our parents' deaths on her. She was a ticking time bomb, we all knew that it wouldn't be all rainbows and sunshine forever." Caleb explains, and I nod. He understands the situation a lot better than I thought.
"And this incident is going to get us kicked out." I mutter irritably. Uriah arrives by this time, and looks to me for an explanation.
"Tris punched Peter. We're probably getting kicked out." I tell him briefly, and follow after the men that carted Tris away. I hear Uriah and Caleb's footsteps behind me, and we make our way into the headquarters building. By the time we are inside the headquarters building, Tris is out of our sight. I walk up to the receptionist at an oak desk in the middle of the lobby.
"May I ask where they took Tris Prior? We are apart of her group, and faction for that matter, so we would like to know where she is." I request as kindly as I can.
"A man from your group, tall with short hair buzzed on the sides, is taking care of it. Not to worry." The woman replies kindly, and I huff. Damn you Tobias, always one step ahead.
"Four sure knows his girlfriend." Uriah says, and I nod with a chuckle.
"And my little sister." I hear Caleb mutter discreetly and in annoyance.
