Luke Hemmings was a strange boy. His hair might have been perfect, but his grades were far from it. Ever since he was 15, Luke was singled out in the town as the boy with bad grades. That's why he grew up being very awkward - the lack of friends and socialising. The town that Luke lived in was very snobby and somehow everyone's kids turned out to be business men, lawyers, doctors ect. Parents with high goals like that don't want their kids to be friends with a boy like Luke Hemmings who hadn't set him self a goal since 2003. His whole life Luke has been a very independent man and he learnt to not care what people thought anymore. When he turned 18, he got his first tattoo on his left ankle. Since then, his skin has become a book full of ink. He moved to New York when he turned 19 and lived in a small apartment by himself near the suburbs. Luke never planned to make friends, that was until one stupid New Years party.

Malia Smith was an artistic girl. Ever since the age of 9 she was painting anything that she could think of, from fruits to shoelaces. All of her school teachers found it strange how her work was so efficient and precise compared to all of the other kids work - after all, Malia was a perfectionist. Her mother however was the queen of perfectionists. Even when you put in 100%, she would still be expecting 101%. Malia hated that trait that she inherited from her mother, and for the past 4 years she has been trying to fight against it. It has worked to some extent, but she will still always have some part of that inside her. Part of her plan to let loose, was to stay single for as long as possible. Malia had a theory that all relationships were mainly based on jealousy and stress and she didn't want any of that. That was until one stupid New Years party.
