The song, 'Helplessly' came on and I mumbled it under my breath. "You distract me, but I'm distracted without you. I don't know how to focus, baby teach me how to."
"That was beautiful." Christian comments on my voice, as I blush a crimson red.
"Thanks." I said as my phone went off in my pocket.
'Are you coming home soon? -mom'
'Yeah I'm going to the park with Christian, so I'll be back by 8.' I typed quickly.
'The Christian?!' She write back after a couple of minutes.
"Who are you texting?" Christian asked suspiciously.
"My mom." I chuckled followed by Christian laughing.
'Yes, I'll explain later. luv u' I typed then locked my phone and put it in my pocket.
We parked in the lot and Christian shut the car off. It was about 5. I got out and shut my door looking at the playground. Kids were everywhere, but it wasn't too crowded. Christian came by my side and we walked over to swings. We saw a little girl laughing getting pushed by a boy. I looked closer at the boy and by his facial features, i knew exactly who it was... It was Brandon. I stopped dead in my tracks as Brandon looked at me. Christian followed my eyes and then stopped.
"Alex, w-what are you doing here?" He asked as he stopped pushing the girl.
"Just came witha friend." I managed to choke out. There was a huge lump in my throat from wanting to cry.
"Alison, why don't you go to your mom?" Brandon said to the little girl.
"Fine." She huffed out and ran over to a picnic table with a lot of people, including Brandon and Amy's mom. She smiled at me, then my gaze went straight back to Brandon.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Just meeting the family, to update on Amy." He said as he sat down on the swing.
"I'll be over there." Christian said pointing to Carter, that was here apparently. I nodded and gave a small smile. After he left, I walked to the swing next to Brandon.
"Im sorry." He said after a moment of silence. I nodded, not knowing what else to say. "I shouldn't have done it. I regretted the very moment after I walked out of the bathroom." He said as a tear escaped my eye.
"You were the one that made me happy when I was sad, and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you."I choked out sobbing. "But I don't know. I'll always love you, but you can't keep doing this to me, you hurt me too much, and I don't deserve that" I finished wiping my eyes. I looked at Brandon and I could tell he was hurt.
"Okay. I'm sorry I hurt you, it will never happen again." He said then got off the swing and went over to his family.
"I can't do this no more." I whispered as I walked. I glanced at Christian and he was making out with Carter. Nothing new, since he came out the other day. I quickly ran out and into the forest where no one would see me. I went to the first tree and started bawling.
It hurt so much. The fact of knowing you're not good enough for someone. The fact that you can love someone so much it hurts. to have them rip your heart into a million places and you'd still pick up the pieces and give it back to them. I don't know how I ended up on the ground, but I did.
My phone vibrated in my pocket after a while and I looked at the screen. The worst thing I ever read. 'Please don't go. I love you ~Brandon'
