RECAP:
Alex?" I heard someone say behind me. I turned around and saw Brandon with tan baggy skinny jeans, a white shirt that said 'Rated' on it, black converses, and a gray beanie. Oh. My. Gosh. He was hot, Oh Hell Mary, forgive me for these dirty thoughts. I swear my eyes brightened when I saw him because of how he smiled.
"What are you doing here?" I asked wiping my eyes.
"Question is, what are you doing here?" he asked sitting next to me.
"You heard the rumors." I stated.
"No, I've been up here all morning." He stated like it was nothing in the world.
I laughed and said, "Well Christian is saying that I begged him for sex." I said looking at my hands as a few more tears escaped my eyes.
"Hey now." He started, he put his hands on my cheeks and made me look at him. He took his thumb and wiped away my tears and looked me in the eyes. " You are more than the choices that you make, you are more than the sum of past mistakes, you are more than the problems you create." He sang. I giggled and immediately felt better.
"Alex I-" He started but was cut off by my phone ringing. I took it out of my back pocket and looked at the caller ID. It was mom..she NEVER called me during school.
"Hello?" I said answering it.
"Alex! Oh gosh, hurry!" She screamed.
"Whoa who whoa, what's going on?" I asked getting of the bench, Brandon did the same.
"Hurry and drive to the house! Ethan! There's so much blood! Hurry!" She screamed then hung up. My eyes started watering. I ran to the door and ran down the stairs, Brandon hot on my heels. Once down the stairs, we ran through the halls and out the doors to my car.
"Get in the passenger side!" I yelled to Brandon.
"No I'm driving!" He retorted. I gave him the keys and ran to the passenger side getting in quickly. I buckled up as Brandon started the engine and sped off. I was debating in my head to either go home or to go to the hospital.
"Where should we go?" Brandon asked turning a right out of the school parking lot.
"Home. If they're not there then we rush to the hospital." I stated pulling out my phone to text my mom. 'What happened?' I responded back in text. I locked my IPhone as Brandon parked in my driveway. I quickly got out and ran inside. "Hello?" I asked when inside. No answer. Crap.
I ran outside and quickly got into the car. "Hospital." I breathed out. I didn't bother getting my seat belt on because I was to anxious to get inside and I didn't want a strap holding me back. Brandon sped off as I thought about Ethan. Why is he the one who had to have cancer. Why couldn't it be me? Ethan didn't deserve this. No one did and I hate Cancer with a passion right now.
"We're here." Brandon said snapping me out of my thoughts. I pushed the door open and ran inside, with Brandon on my heels. We ran to the front desk lady and she told us Ethan was in room 353. Brandon and I quickly ran up to his room, not knowing what was lying ahead of us.
