Y/N'S P.O.V

Being a trainee for a big company isn't as easy as some might think. Endless training, constant dieting, and even countless injuries. I've been training for eight years now and ever since TWICE debuted, my debut time has been set even further. I do not blame my unnies for it, they actually are doing really well and are so talented!

I was supposed to be in a group called 6Mix, but my former trainees left the company before that could go into discussion. It hasn't been the same since. JYP had thought about putting me into TWICE before, but I hardly had any recognition outside of Korea. It's like I've been tossed aside.

But it's fine! I know one day I'll debut. Even if I have little lines, no screentime, or many haters, at least I can proudly say that I have debuted. Nothing can change that.

“You are so talented! I wish JYP could see this, he would be so proud.” One of my younger trainee friends told me.

“I wish he could. He's letting a solo artist debut and he hasn't trained for even a year!” I cried as I slump down into my chair.

“Your time will come Y/N! I just know it!” He yelled and grabbed my wrist as he pulled me up.

“Enough games. I have to go back to the practice room.” I bid my goodbye and patted his back.

The walk to my dorm was short but lonely. I had pushed in the key and twisted the door knob. My dorm was exactly how I left it, nice and neat. I jumped on my bed and plopped out my phone.

I wasn't allowed to have social media, but Taeyeon, a personal friend of mine, gave me the password to her account and I used it. Seeing many pictures of big groups like Red Velvet from SM and BLACKPINK from YG gave me a little anxiety. I've heard the stories of Wendy's extreme dieting and Lisa's criticisms. But that's what make them stronger.

I want to be just like them.
