Chapter 1

"Come on Addy, please come to the party tonight!" Anaïs whined trying to convince me.

It was the party of the YEAR as she called it but I'm not a party type of girl. I guess that's why we're best friends (opposites attract and all that). Matt Howard was throwing a party and everyone HAD to go but I really wasn't in the mood.

"PLEASEEEEE!!!!"

"But Naï I'm really tired and—
"Fine then I guess I'm not going either." Anaïs always knew how to get her own way and I definitely wasn't going to put up with her sulking for the rest of the year.

"Fine I guess I can go for a bit." I sighed knowing she'd won.

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU,THANK YOU!" She screamed while nearly suffocating me in a hug. She could get on my nerves sometimes but I loved her too much to ever argue with her, she's my best friend after all.

"Ok so come to mine after you get off work tonight and we'll get ready there."

"Sure I'll be there as soon as." I agreed while cleaning the tables in the small café I worked in, I worked til 6 tonight and the party started at 10 so I had to hurry knowing how long Naï takes to get ready.

"I'll see you tonight then Addy and if I'm not in just go up to my room, my dad's home so it'll be unlocked." She explained not noticing how I freaked when she mentioned Noel. I'd had a crush on him since I was 14, I'm now 18 and nothing has changed. Obviously Anaïs didn't know and neither did he thank god! I'd be so embarrassed!

"Kk... se.see you later." I waved as she walked out the door, letting me get back to work.

The café was quiet so the owner Jules told me to get off early. I was now walking down the drive to the Gallagher's house. It was fairly big but modest compared to other celebs and inside was beautiful, it was the type of house I dream of but can't afford.
I got to the door and didn't bother knocking. As I entered I took off my shoes.

"ANAÏS!!!" I called as I walked to the living room. No reply.

"NAÏ—

"She's not got home yet, Ad." The familiar Manc accent made me gasp and spin around. There he was staring at me with his icy blue eyes as he came in from the kitchen with a brew in his hand. I'd realised I'd been staring for a while so I decided to speak up.

"Ok I...um..I'll go wait upstairs then." Fuck. Why was I stuttering! I bet he thinks I'm so odd.

I started walking towards the stairs when I was stopped by his deep voice.

"Don't be silly, come watch tv with me while she's out. I could use the company, Sara's taken the kids to Scotland for the week so I'm stuck watching shit soaps." I nodded awkwardly and followed him to the sofas.

"I fucking hate Eastenders but nothing else is on." He sighed while taking a sip of tea.

"I absolutely love it!!" I said a bit too eagerly as I got cosy on the sofa. He chuckled at that and my heart skipped and my cheeks flushed. I just hoped Anaïs would make it back quick before I embarrassed myself more.....
