I'm holding on - Noel Gallagher

Chapter 9

We'd now started the tour and we were at the first rehearsal for the first gig. It'd been a long flight to Milan, well I say long but I'd only been abroad once so I couldn't really compare it to anything else.

Anaïs and I were now in the dressing room, waiting for the high flying bird's to show up. Noel had gone to get them and I was pretty excited to meet them. From all accounts, they were all really sweet and hilarious, if a little sarcastic, so they sounded like my kind of people.

We'd also get to meet the band blossoms and I was a huge fan. It was going to be embarrassing when I met them because I have had a crush on them for ages but I wouldn't let anyone else know apart from Anaïs. That's how they got to tour with NGHFBs because we had both told Noel how great they were. Don't get me wrong, I was super excited to see them but I was also nervous as hell. I didn't want to show off my obsessive fan girl side and make it obvious to Noel. That would be so awkward and embarrassing. Anaïs had promised to protect me incase I made a fool of myself which I was grateful for.

"Naï, do y'know when they'll all get here? I'm about to piss myself cos I'm that excited!"

"Hold your horses Ads, they'll be here in a bit and as for those gorgeous blossoms boys you keep talking about, we'll see them when they rehearse!"

"I don't think they're gorgeous! I just love their music!" I defended myself but really I wasn't kidding anyone.

"Yeah, yeah! You're not fooling anyone Adelaide Winter!" She smirked at me and I couldn't help but burst into laughter with her joining me.

"Well, well, well! What do we have here, ey?" I turned to the door to see Noel and a group of other people. The rest of the band.

"Don't worry dad, we were just talking about boys. Something you know nothing about!" Anaïs turned to me and winked as I shook my head and tutted.

"Oh yeah, try me! Who were you giggling about?" Noel looked straight at me so I felt I could hardly breathe.

"Ask Ads! She's the one gushing over a certain band! Isn't that right Addy?" She kept that smirk on her face and I actually could've killed her right then.

"Alright Naï! They get the picture, you said you wouldn't say anything!" I said half joking as I hit her with a cushion.

"Come on then! Who were you talking about?" Noel asked with a hint of anger and I nearly spilled but there was no way I was telling. He'd probably tell the boys!

"I think you'll find it's none of your business dad! Girl talk and all!" Anaïs tried to save me after spilling.

"Yeah, Noel! How about you leave and we'll have a nice chat!" Ysee said from behind Noel along with Charlotte, Jessica and the rest of the band.

"What, so you can talk utter shit about me while I'm gone!" Noel laughed with an annoyingly hot smirk.

"We would NEVER!" Charlotte shouted, pretending to be hurt.

"Of course not." Noel said smiling. "Right, anyway, Ads this is Charlotte, Ysee, Jessica, Russell, Gem and Chris!"

"Nice to meet you all!" I said feeling shy in the spotlight. I got a few smiles and short replies before they all started a conversation.

We were all laughing and joking around when I looked over at Noel. He was staring at me and started to mouth 'phone' so I took my phone out of my pocket and waited.

N:Are you alright?
                                     
                                         A:fine. U?

N:Good. I'm glad you're getting on with everyone.

              A:Me too I thought they'd      hate me!

N:They couldn't! You're amazing! :)

                   A:You're such a charmer

N:Don't you know it!

I looked up at him and rolled my eyes, trying to hide a smile.

N:Who were you both talking about before I came in?

                     A:No one important. :)

N:Come on Ads! Tell me.

          A:Honestly it doesn't matter

N:I wanna know. Tell me plz!

        A:Why does it matter? It was a private conversation

N:It matters cos I wanna know who you're drooling over since it's clearly not me!

        A:How do you know it's not you?

N:You're hardly gonna bring us up to Anaïs, are you?

            A:Well obviously not but it was still private!

N:I'll find out.

                            A: I don't think so.

N:Watch me Adelaide.

And with that, I put my phone back in my pocket.
