He just stared at me. I felt so stupid. He just stared. I felt like I was about to cry and I was so embarrassed, all I wanted was to get away so I did.

I ran out of the room as fast as I could and didn't look back. I thought about going home but I couldn't. Anaïs would know something was up so instead I locked myself in the bathroom and just cried.

"Addy? You ok?" I gasped and started to panic. Had she heard? I rushed to the mirror and cleared my smudged makeup to get rid of any evidence I was crying.

"Naï, just go back to bed - I'll be up in a bit, yeah?" My voice cracked halfway through and I just hoped she didn't realise.

"No, Ads I'm not going bed you're crying. Tell me what's wrong?"

"Honestly I'm fine. I just need a minute." I sighed.

"Fine but we're talking about this when you decide to come out!" And with that, she walked back into her room and I was left trying to put on a fake smile before I walked back out.
I sat down on her bed and stayed silent until she spoke up.

"Ads you know you can tell me anything, right?"

"I know and I would but not this. Just know that I'm fine and understand that I don't want you to know."

"You're not fine. You're crying. Has someone hurt you. Was it at the party? I'm your best friend Ads, if someone's making you feel like this then tell me and I'll show them that they don't mess with you!"

"No Naï, it wasn't at the party. Anyway, it's over now. I just need you to trust me."

"Course I trust you! Come here." I moved over and she wrapped me in a hug and held tight.

I felt so awful. How could I do this to my best friend? If she ever found out, she would hate me and I couldn't live with that. I just need to forget about it.

"Let's go sleep, yeah? It'll make you feel better."

"Yeah, goodnight Naï."

"Night Ads"
