Firey's POV

Even though I was perfectly fine, the doctors said I had to stay in bed. I was so bored, Golf Ball had my phone and there is nothing enjoyable in the room. Well, there was a magazine, but it was all the way at the visiting table.

I decided that I would go over my new found memories of Leafy. Let's see:

Episode 1: Different teams

Episode 2-6: No interaction

Episode 7: Leafy wants me on her team

Episode 8: No interaction

Episode 9: Doesn't pick me onto her team

Episode 10: She's up for elimination, but escapes the bottom 2

Episode 11: I'm up for elimination, but safe

Episode 12: I'm the last one on Another name

My thoughts were interrupted by a squeaking noise. I turned to see a healthy looking leaf.

"You look beautiful." I said not thinking about what I had just said.

"Did I just call her beautiful?" I thought to myself. I immediately blushed when I realised what I said. She blushed too, but somehow even more than me.

"Thanks....." She said still a little shocked by her own best friend calling her beautiful.

"Hehe....." I laughed nervously, I then turned my head to hide the blush on my face.

"Well, let's act as if that never happened," she said a little embarrassed, "I just came to see how you are doing."

"I feel perfectly fine, but the nurses won't let me out of bed." I complained moodily.

"Hey, I'm stuck in a wheelchair for an injury that's not as severe as yours. If anyone should be grumpy, it should be me." Leafy said making me giggle a bit.

"Well, how is everyone else?" I asked contently.

"Well Ruby is as hyper as ever, Book, she, is fine." Leafy said trying to think. "Tennis Ball is a lot more sympathetic after all the trauma we've been through and Golf Ball has become so much nicer!"

"How 'bout Woody?" I asked a little curious about his talking.

"He's really starting to become more confident, he joined in on our conversation! Needle is extremely calm Bubble is super sad!" She finished telling me about our friends.

"Wait, why was she sad?" I asked worriedly.

"Well uh, first, Magnifying Glass had to go to the hospital," she explained glumly, "second, Badge, well he is, um, dead.

"Dead!?" I asked surprised, "I don't want people I know to die!"

"I caused it all. I am the reason. I should've kept to myself." Leafy started repeating those three phrases over and over again.

"Leafy don't fee-" I tried to say, but before I could finish, she broke into tears and started crying. She layed her head on my stomach and continued crying.

"Hey, it's not your fault." I said to calm her down, but at the same time, I was blushing so much, my best friend was laying on my stomach. I was glad she didn't see me.

"You really *sniff* think so?" She asked sitting up.

"Yeah! I do actually!" I responded with a smile on my face. She then turned around to face me and immediately hugged me.

I started blushing. "Wait, you'll burn!" I cry.

"Does it look like I'm burning?" She asks giggling.

"Huh? You're...............not burning, why?" I asked confused.

"Needle told me, Stethy told her that your fire has been altered to not kill anyone, plus, you can't die from water. I mean if they're doing surgery, that's extremely important!" She explained happily

"Does it wear off?" I asked hopefully.

"Well, it's like rent I guess," she said thinking, "you need to buy it at the beginning of the month and then it lasts for a month!"

"But, it's the 2nd of February, we're too late!" I cried disappointed.

"Heh, luckily we have some smart friends!" Leafy said in a matter-of-fact tone while slowly bringing up a jar.

"Is that it?" I asked smiling again.

"Yup, it's called Burnodite! It makes you not burn people and not have to be Yoyle Metal!" Leafy cried happily.

"Yay!" I yelled happily. Then Nurse Syringe came in.

"Firey, do you want to go for a wheel chair trip to your friends?" She asked.

"Yes!" I yelled while quickly getting up and speed walking to the wheel chair. Leafy giggled when I did this, I blushed a bit from her giggle.

Just then Woody came in and started wheeling Leafy out.

Tennis Ball's POV

"TB, the sun is not made of glowing pretzel dough!" GB said completely disappointed I didn't know a lot about the sun.

Just then, Leafy and Firey rolled in, literally.

"Hey, guys!" Firey exclaimed.

"Hey!" I yelled, waving my foot, "How ya feeling?"

"I feel fine actually!" Firey said happily. Then Coiny walked over.

"Hey uhhhh Firey," Coiny started shyly, Firey just looked at him with a mean face, "well I was wondering if you know, we could be friends, due to the circumstances you're in."

Firey's expression changed from angry to shocked, "You want to be friends with me, en after I sabotaged you and Uno Card?"

"Heh, that was 15 years ago, it doesn't bother me anymore!" Coiny said contently.

"Okay then, but I think you need to apologise to me for breaking my favorite thing, ever." Firey requested.

"You mean Flame Roller, yeah, sorry 'bout that, I was just so angry about the sabotage." Coiny said with a guilty expression on his face.

"It's okay!" Firey cried.

I then walked toward Firey and Coiny and started chatting.

Firey's POV again

Everyone started walking over to talk to me and we chatted about Gelatin, Magnifying Glass, and Badge.

"His death was unfortunate." Ruby reflected.

"Yeah" Agreed Book, sadly.

"At least he went out happy." Said Leafy a little positively. I blushed when she talked, I have no clue why, but every time Leafy says or does something I blush.

We spent the last 20 minutes talking about game plan and stuff and than me and Leafy got rolled away, while everyone else went back to the hotel.

While we were being rolled away, I started thinking about the cause of my blush. Did she do something embarrassing? No, did she imply something weird like I should kiss a llama? No.

It then clicked, it was so sudden, I felt so many emotions. Was I in love with her? That would explain it, but why? She's my best friend!

But that's the only explanation.
