Marie Cousins P.O.V
"DINNER!" Mary Cooper called as Georgie and I walked down the hall into the dining room.I sat down in between Georgie and Sheldon.
"Well this looks delicious." I said.
"Well lets say Grace." Mary Cooper said.
I ignored my religious views, and grabbed Georgie and Sheldon's hands for Grace.
~
After we said Grace, we began to collect our nourishment for the night.
"Now Marie, get some of that brisket over there. It's my special recipe." An old women said, who was Georgie and Sheldon's grandmother.
"Sure. Thanks." I said, taking a piece of brisket.
"That's good." I said after I took a bite of it.
"You know Connie, one of these days, you HAVE to give me the recipe for that Brisket of yours." George Cooper Sr said.
"Yeah. One of these days." Connie said, while giggling.
"You know what Connie? I've treated your daughter right, I gave you three beautiful Grandchildren, and all I asked for in return was that recipe!" George Sr snapped.
I could notice the features of Connie's face fall down into sadness and sorrow.
"You're right. Give me a piece of paper and I'll write the recipe down for you."
~
Turns out, it was a trick. No recipe for George Cooper Sr I guess.
"Thanks for dinner guys." I said as I cleared my plate from the table.
"Well it's getting late I need to get back home." I added to my previous statement.
I walked out the door, and Georgie followed me onto the porch, and around the side of the house.
"Bye Georgie." I said, holding his hand.
"Bye babe. See you tomorrow." He said, and gave me a quick peck on the lips.
I gave him another wave, and then started on my way home.
~
I got home, and saw my Dad's car in the driveway.
"Hi mom hi dad I'm home." I called out as I walked in the door.
"Hey how's it going?" My dad asked as I came into the living room.
"Fine I guess." I replied
"How was dinner with the Coopers?" My mom asked from the kitchen as she was making her tea.
"It was great." I replied while grinning like an idiot.
"Well I'm glad you had fun." She said, not quite vicious, but she didn't sound happy.
"Well I'm glad you're ahoy for me." I snapped and stormed up to my room.
I looked at the clock in my room. It was 7:30 already.
~
The night was hard to get through. I was too excited to see Georgie to be able to sleep.
I woke up and sat up quickly, and jumped out of bed. I ran downstairs and poured myself a glass of lemonade. I drank it quickly, and proceeded to make myself breakfast.
