Forty-Nine

Marie Cousins P.O.V
"What do we have to talk about?" I asked and grabbed my things from my locker.

Georgie opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by Kim mumbling "Losers" as she walked by.

"What's with her lately?" Georgie whispered.

"One word. Jared."

The bell rang and I shut my locker and I walked with Georgie to English class. We sat down in our normal spots, and I looked around and picked at my nails while I waited for the class to start. The kids piled in, and Mrs.Macleroy stood st the front of the class, with a big smile on her face.

"Why are you so happy?" Sheldon asked, like she wasn't ever happy.

Her smile faded into an annoyed frown, before she said "pop quiz"

The whole class groaned.

"You'll help me cheat right?" Georgie whispered.

"Nice try buddy. Not happening." I said with my hands on my hips.

"C'mon please!"

"You're not going to make me change my mind."

He looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Not even puppy dog eyes work on me."

"Fine be that way."

I rolled my eyes as I got the test paper. I carefully printed my name at the top of the paper. I tapped my pencil on the desk quietly as I read the questions. I looked over to Georgie, who looked like he was struggling more then he was deciding what essay topic to use. I lightly tapped his shoulder, and he stopped looking at the test and made eye contact with me.

"I'll give you the multiple choice answers okay?" I whispered as quietly as I could, but loud enough so Georgie could hear me.

He gave me a thumbs up and quickly looked back down at his paper because the teacher was starting to come our direction.

Multiple choice was always easy, so I got that done pretty quickly. That and all the questions were just about grammar and stuff like that. As soon as I finished the multiple choice, I took out my note pad and wrote the order of the answers of the multiple choice.

Once Mrs.Macelroy was on the other side of the room with her back to me, I quickly slid the paper over to Georgie, and continued answering the other questions on the test. Georgie should get these ones. The open response weren't that hard anyways. There's only two, most of the test was multiple choice. I raised my hand, and handed the teacher my test. I can't believe I let someone cheat off me. Well, there's a first time for everything I suppose.
